I'm not buying the aging manipulation through magic thing really, because in the case of Aegwynn we were lead to believe that stopping ones aging through arcane magic takes some tremendous effort and power - in general the manipulation of time is a mark of a ridiculously powerful mage.
Especially also when magic is said to be corrupting and aging their users before their time... Something is not computing here.
