The Queue: The cool guys

Same as yesterday, I have no idea who did this picture, but it's great.
Hhardin1130 asked:
I need an awesome name for a dwarf warrior. It's my first dwarf and my first warrior, and I want a name that is suitably awesome.
The perfect dwarf name only requires that you combine two of the following:
- A type of metal or stone (Iron, Ore, Steel)
- A basic melee weapon (Axe, Mace, Hammer)
- A piece of blacksmithing equipment (Forge, Anvil)
- A brewed alcoholic beverage (Stout, Ale, Lager)
- Beard
Moar Heroisms asked:
How many guildies are required to get guild achievement credit for vanilla and BC raids?
Ten for 40-man raids, eight for 25-man raids.
Letg06 asked:
Has Blizzard given us any reason, either lorewise or logical, as to why rogues move faster when they're in stealth than they and everyone else does when they're running?
It's just a gameplay mechanic, not a lore thing, but you can look at it from a few different angles if you want an explanation for it. The first is that in real life, stealth isn't necessarily about moving slowly; it's about moving unnoticed. This may mean moving pretty fast! Looking from another angle, rogues do employ "minor mysticism" (direct quote from the class description) in their abilities, so it's not out of the question for them to be using shadow magic to move faster than normal.
Mem0ryburn asked:
This is off-topic but what's the best site for WoW TCG information? I don't expect to find a site as good as this one dedicated to the game but is there anywhere out there with a good community and/or frequent and helpful articles?
Thanks!
The dudes at Daily Metagame update their site frequently and the articles are great -- beginner stuff as well as tournament-level. There are also lots of dev blogs and community articles on the official WoW TCG website.

What is up with the blasted Innkeeper's Daughter?
She's been getting on my nerves for a while now, with her stalking, and giggling, and kissing, and now she's started dropping dead as well, at regular intervals. There isn't much I hate in the game more than the female dwarf death grunt, so it's been driving me up the wall, to the point where I just deleted the item. However, she is STILL following me, and she is STILL noisily dying after ten or so seconds, and I don't even have the item anymore. What gives? It's annoying me. A lot.

I never thought I'd say this (apart from when anyone mentions Raid content), but I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Is it an Alliance thing or perhaps that cheese you ate past its sell-by date was a bad idea after all?
Zapwidget May 8th 2011 12:15PM
Last week, my wife's IKD was following her everywhere and the laughing got annoying. This week, the poor lass keels over dead every time we hearth in. It'd be tragic if it wasn't hilarious.

It has to do with the new permanency of non-combat pets. Just summon a different pet and she'll go away.
Fjaweru May 8th 2011 12:15PM
I noticed after 4.1 that companions linger even after you log...for a few days... She annoyed me too. What worked for me was to switch out my companion whenever she showed up, then dismiss that companion. Worked until the next hearth.
As far as after deleting the item? No clue.
Tyr May 8th 2011 12:23PM
She does seem to pop out much more often, lately. Not sure why you are still getting her after deleting the item, unless she works as a spell on your char ( like an attunement) that doesn't disappear after getting rid of the item. I would think a GM could probably fix that for you. Aside from that, she will go away for me if I bring out a companion pet- which I tend to do as soon as I hear her...

The change to let non-combat pets stay after dying, and between zoning affected anything else considered a pet.
To get rid of her, summon a non-combat pet, and dismiss them.

@Sunblade: It's from archeology, although I think the cheese idea has some merit. Here's the item description: http://www.wowhead.com/item=64488/the-innkeepers-daughter

Drives me insane when I'm with other ppl who are being stalked by her and seeing her die is very good on my nerve.
I have that heart stone and obviously thought about deleting it, really a lil'fatty dwarf? But happy me, I am the very proud owner of a haunted memento and she has never shown up, not even once since I got the item.
* I am assuming it is because of the memento I could be wrong but it is very unlikely.

@ Sunblade
The Innkeeper's Daughter is a hearthstone you can get from Dwarf digsites in archaeology.
The lore behind it is basically that an Innkeeper hired a warlock to do something about his wayward daughter and to make sure she came home. The warlock, thus, turned her into a Hearthstone.
So, when you use this item to Hearth, you have a chance of a ghostly female dwarf called The Innkeeper's Daughter appearing and following you around, occasionally laughing and what-not. Although it seems that recently she has a fondness for keeling over, too. (This clearly seems to be a bug, though it is morbidly humorous if you were getting annoyed by her incessant giggling previously.)
It also seems that having a non-combat pet, or anything that takes up that slot such as the ghost from a Haunted Memento, prevents her from appearing when you hearth.
Amaxe May 8th 2011 3:08PM
I had her for several days, until Children's Week.
It was kind of weird because she has the same face and hair color as my dwarf. with only different hair style. Kind of like a twin almost.
edgeblade May 8th 2011 3:16PM
We need either a mute addon for the IKD or another pet/toy that can kill her, similar to the train destroyer. Someone in my raid group will invariably have it out during the entire raid and she will not shut the hell up. Or they could make her player targetable so we can kill her ourselves.
Kirkules May 8th 2011 10:08PM
My Death Knight has Malmortis following him around, the skeleton from the 'Disclosure' quest in Zul'Drak. He wanders off and smacks things for very low damage but he doesn't aggro anything. It's pretty hilarious.
Blackdemon May 9th 2011 6:38AM
The auto-summoning of the last companion was driving me mad this weekend, my guild page and argent squire cooldowns being used straight away when I logged in if I didn't summon another pet before logging out. Not cool.
harr01 May 9th 2011 11:54AM
I wondered how to get rid of her for ages until i summoned a vanity pet and she disappeared. She isn't in your pet list but acts just like one. You have a random chance to spawn her when you use the hearth that bears her name.
Eirik May 9th 2011 1:03PM
A similar story can be told of Children's Week: Every time I zone into an instance, or hearth, or enter a battleground (zoning, doh!), I hear a whistle.
It's the "summon your orphan" whistle. But since children's week is over, your orphan is back at the orphanage and not responding.
Even better: There's a quest in Borean Tundra where a mammoth calf follows you around until you find a good home for it. Persistent pets means that the calf will now follow you into instances. Had one the other night with TWO calfs in it.
... but say, a mammoth calf isn't that bad a pet. And I've got this leftover whitewash. Hmm...

Does magefood supply the necessary nutrients that a growing child needs?

Are you kidding me? It's freaking cake! Of course it supplies essential nutrients! You're crazy, man...
