Just keep in mind that, when you first set up a reflux profile, it will be "fresh". It's best to do this on an alt rather than your main, just for sanity's sake (experience? nah, I wasn't traumatized by it AT ALL)

Agreed, Reflux is the way to go. I use it with all my alts to quickly 'build' my custom UI. Not all addons are supported, but it does allow you to create your own 'virtual' profiles for addons that don't support ACE3.

Fifthing Reflux. It used to be a pain to roll a new alt, I'd jut not use mods for as long as I could to put off having to set up my UI over and over. Ever since I got Reflux I no longer have to worry. It's the best, and it's one of those mods that you never think about until you need it.

I agree that Reflux is a life-saver, but I do wish it was a bit easier to use. Get a command wrong and a profile can vanish into the nether.
