RC car enthusiast shows his Horde pride

Now, I don't know if Rene has named his car yet, but if he hasn't, I think we can all pull together and come up with some awesome names for his little Horde buggy. Hellscream's Warsong is my best suggestion, only beating out Doomhammer by a smidge. What do you guys think?
One of the interesting parts of the email Rene sent us was that while he found RC racing after taking an extended break from World of Warcraft, he kept his Horde spirit long after playing the game. This is definitely a common feeling in our community; when we leave Azeroth for permanent or extended breaks, we take Warcraft with us wherever we go.
Check out all of the pictures on Rene's Flickr page.

As an alliance player I have to admit that's pretty damn cool.

I used to have custom cars with photoshopped paintjobs in Trackmania Nations Forever similar to that one, both horde and alliance.
Said game is free on Steam, and is a pretty fun (and very good looking) arcade-y racer, and there's a $40 version called Trackmania United Forever that i might buy in the future.

looks awesome!
I love being alliance, but the horde's symbol is so much cooler and easier to incorporate into other things.
Luci May 12th 2011 9:17PM
WTB more abstract alliance symbol.
Amaxe May 12th 2011 9:40PM
We've already got a big L for our symbol
(wish i could find the old Flintlocke comic
Marbles May 13th 2011 8:39AM
Well, the Lordaeron "L" isn't really found that much in Alliance territory.
The traditional Blue-on White is most easily spotted in CoT instances - Stratholme and Hiilsbrad to be specific. I don't think there are many/any banners in the "present".
Red-on-White is one of the Scarlet Crusade's banners, and used to be found in old Hearthglen, and is still present in Tyr's Hand and Stratholme. Possibly also in Northrend, though that's not "present" anymore.
White-on-Blue is still fairly rare, but banners of it have consistently been seen (since Classic times) lining the path upto the Ruins of Lordaeron, as well as appearing in a few other areas of the Ruins, so that's more of a Forsaken version of the symbol.
In certain respects, be glad you haven't got a single symbol to represent the Alliance - the Hodish "Omega" crops up an awful lot, too much sometimes. Compare the "Tabard of Conquest(Horde)" to the "Hellscream's Reach" tabard - they are basically identical Red/Black Omegas, albeit inverted colour-wise.

A feat of Horde Engineering if I ever saw one! Awesome work Rene! I hope that Blizzard will let the Horde trade in their current mounts for a fleet of Mugen Seiki MBX-5Ts.
Luci May 12th 2011 9:18PM
I hope not. Then I would have to transfer to horde and then I would have no money.

And now I have an idea for a new Losi 8ight Body. BRB

Mechano-car? Perhaps Mechano-junker.

wow insider must be running out of serious news to report to put something this trivial and silly on their website.
toofat2serve May 13th 2011 6:47AM
Yes. Serious news. About a video game.
/facepalm
Chill dude. They jump on patches and hotfixes as they come. Class, role, and style columns come out as fast as the writers can write them. And since most of the columnists are part-time writers with other full-time responsabilities, that isn't as often, apparently, as you'd like.
You can show your displeasure by stopping your payments to WoWInsi... Oh wait. You don't pay for it. So you can show your displeasure by not ximing to the site. Or when you see a title like "RC car enthusiast shows his Horde pride," you can excersize a modicum of reading comprehension and skipnthe article, so as to not waste your time on something this "trivial and silly."
Which is a purely subjective analysis anyway. I love the stories about the other PLAYERS in this massively multiPLAYER game.
The only thing more astounding than you actually taking the time to post that comment is me taking the time to respond.

Y'know what 'racecar' spelled backwards is?
RACECAR!
...but seriously, that's pretty damn cool.
Kyle May 13th 2011 1:31AM
hmmm....my Traxxas Revo needs a new body soon...maybe i have to design some alliance version now to counter this horde travesty :D
chaosdefined May 14th 2011 12:01AM
I saw a car when I was visiting Germany, old beat up banger, but across the side it was spray painted "Horde Epic Mount"
ekfxc May 13th 2011 9:24AM
Good idea, but amateurish execution.
ashtin May 13th 2011 9:44AM
U mad bro?
toofat2serve May 13th 2011 9:57AM
Assuming you were replying to me, I have drawn te conclusions that:
A) you are, indeed trolling and
B) you are very stupid.

Aww toofat its cute that your trying though. I bet you probably have like 10 level 85's all raid geared huh? From your whimsical statements and personal attacks towards me I've drawn a conclusion of my own. But I'll let this video on youtube explain it all. Because it explains 99 percent of players in wow and those who post on wowinsider such as yourself. Who find that people who make worthless crap like this rc car news worthy.

Oh shut up. Don't comment on the story if you think it isn't worth your time. People like you just have to whine about something. Just crawl back in your hole and shut it.
