I'm always a fan of simplicity (so that you can worry about things like positioning and fire instead). Unfortunately, it seems like blizzard is toying with the idea of changing other classes'/specs' AoE toward the shaman model instead of simplifying ours.

There was some sort of blue post about it, but i forget where it went.
