I have it set up so I can switch bars with a (shift, mouse scroll up) move on my paladin. The paladin's AoE stuff is on one bar, single target on the main. One of my AoE bars is a focus macro that judges and sets that as a focus. I go tabbing around the group spreading my Seal of Truth's love to everyone and get back to the main target when I think there are enough numbers scrolling on the screen.
This can be done with Flame shock. You set your original target as the focus, beat on him, wait till the seconf FS is ready then tab. Take note of where in the group that new guy is. Go back to number one. When FS 3 is ready, click on someone on the other side of the group, most times it won't be your #2 target. Apply, back to #1 and enjoy the pain.
Really, considering I was seeing warlocks with triple my DPS in Mount Hyjal on my shaman, having one that could compete should be something you guys are happy about, not complaining that it is hard.
Shaman have always had to do 3 times the work to get 75% the damage. This isn't something new. 14 pt priority lists when guys with 5 items were doing much higher dps? Yep. Prior to this you had to hope no one moved to do decent AoE damage or depend on a moron chained to a stick with a long cool down.
The new system is at least decent and allows decent damage for mediocre players while giving better players much better damage. Before skill wasn't important. Stick + FN on CD = same no matter how good.
