Remember that a _lot_ of players are those who have highly limited funds, students, unemployed, children.. If the subscription fee rises, that's what'll make subscribers drop like flies. WoW is one of the most expensive sub-based games available, they KNOW they can't raise the fee, else they'll definately feel it in their pockets.
