The link seems to be pointing to last weeks comic.
But good stuff as always :)

Fixed the link. Sorry.

Hunters Ruleā¢

Interesting. I was hoping they would use some way which didn't involve attacking guards given the previous actions to sneak the keys away. Unless we have something else develop (like turning out to be a non-harmful trap), what we have here is assault, and the Night Elf would justifiably wind up in a cell as well for her actions.
Then of course, what the children think (who are still innocent) about Ennari attacking a member of the Alliance is something which could be developed as well.
Well, let's see what develops anyway.
Amaxe May 17th 2011 9:36AM
Ah nvm. I see it's an ice block trap thingy.
thebitterfig May 17th 2011 9:45AM
So far, it's just harmless CC. Dude will wake up cold and wet a little while later, but unharmed. Heck, given 4.2 changes, he won't even be aware of it when the block wears off.
Vladpr May 17th 2011 11:57AM
@thebitterfig
LOL ... won't even notice "Why in the hell am I so cold, ohh well let's get a blanket and go back to sleep ..." dumb 4.2 change lol

Awesome - a Camoflaged hunter always looks so amazing.
... what? :)
To Amaxe's point, I'm pretty sure it's a freezing trap. He's frozen in a solid block of ice, but otherwise unharmed for now. And the kids don't seem to be present, since she told them to wait outside.
Kelly, I'm curious about your editorial process. Do you already have the basics of each strip planned out (dialog, basic layout), just the overall story arc, or what?
Cadychan May 17th 2011 2:43PM
To answer your question - yup, just a freezing trap. The guard will feel a bit crappy afterwards, but he'll be fine. :)
As for my creation process? Well, I wrote the really bare bones of the whole story a long time ago, before I even started drawing. I then teamed up with my guild leader who has a much better sense of pacing and story development than I do. We talk every week and plot out each page.
I do a rough page, send it to him, and when he gives the okay, I go ahead and ink and tone it. It's then sent to Lisa, our editorial overlord, who gives the final okay. ;)

I suppose it would be redundant to order the guard to "Freeze!"
StClair May 17th 2011 3:02PM
"Chill out."
Psiberkiwi May 21st 2011 1:05AM
Or Bob's line from 'Reboot":
"Stay frosty..."
perderedeus May 17th 2011 3:11PM
"Ice to meet you."
Great page, though it does highlight some of the silliness with 'trap launcher' and magical bear-traps in general. ;)
Throm May 17th 2011 4:32PM
He is going to have one Hell of a freezer burn.
Glaras May 17th 2011 8:31PM
Of course, if he *does* remember, this will not go well for the hunter. I can just imagine the court martial...
