There isn't really much I find traditionally scary/creepy in WoW; maybe parts of Karazhan, but for the most part, Blizzard seems to have reserved such moments for Diablo.
However, I can definitely nominate the Lich King chase in Halls of Reflection as the most unnerving part of WoW. Here you had this ultra powerful, nigh-unstoppable god-like being, a raid boss of the highest caliber, and he is pissed off and he IS RIGHT BEHIND YOU RUN AWAY RUN AWAY RUN AWAY. An easy encounter NOW, but during the time of Patch 3.3 (think that was the one right before Cata), surviving that required strong gear, skill, and lots of coordination, and even when you thought you were safe, you could turn around and Arthas would be inches from catching up, prompting plenty of panic.
