WoW Moviewatch: Return of the Ashbringer II - Raiders of Northrend
Return of the Ashbringer II - Raiders of Northrend is a cinema-length machinima. The creator describes it as a "journey machinima," which is a way of saying it focuses on a few characters and their struggles, instead of huge, epic battles. This movie really is worth watching, but be warned that it runs about an hour and a half.
The production values of the video are actually pretty good. According to Pykmi, he chose to focus on using in-game "body" actors instead of other machinima tricks. The movie feels a little more "authentic" because of that decision, since it looks more like something that actually could happen in game.
Return of the Ashrbinger II has a few shout-outs to tanks, which obviously won me over. It spends some time talking about The Sword and Board, the protection warrior way. And while Pykmi's obvious talking about warriors, I think it applies to all tanks.
This was a wonderful movie. My hat's off to Pykmi; you've made something astounding.

This video is amazing except for one thing. And that is the voice acting. Some of it is pretty good, but some of it is really bad and it can be fairly jarring at certain points.
But other then that I absolutely love it.

I agree that the recording of the voices could have been done better (it sounded like a lot of them had varying qualities of mics and the like) however the acting itself was superb (I particularly loved the Death Knight and the gnome rogue's voice actors), and If you're not the type to be completely obsessed with those kinds of tiny details, then it will be impossible for you to find anything wrong with this video.
You won't see epic battles in this machinima--it's focused on the story, traveling, and the drama between characters--or any pure focus on Tirion, but this doesn't take away from the film at all. It is definitely a masterpiece, all the way up there with all the other legends such as Blind. I wouldn't be surprised if we see this featured many more times here in the future.

I'm confused by the title, is this a sequel to something else?
