Breakfast Topic: What's the one class you just can't stand?

There are 10 classes to choose from in WoW. You can play a class whose one and only job is to DPS or a class that can tank, DPS or heal. While some classes are similar in their spells and abilities, each class is unique. Some people play every class at the endgame, and others pick one and stick with it. What about the one class that you just can't play past level 10 or 20?
I suffer from an alt problem and have an alt of every class, save for a death knight. My favorite class is by far the hunter, for multiple reasons, and I love playing my paladin but I just can't get into the death knight. I tried them out during the Wrath beta and thought the story was excellent, but they couldn't keep my interest. I gave them another shot a few months after Wrath launched and never made it past the first few quests in the starting area. The class overall just doesn't appeal to me. I'm not fond of the playstyle and can't seem to grasp the proper rotation. I find myself mashing buttons until the mob dies, more often than not. Even the lore behind the death knights hasn't been able to keep my attention. The death knight class and I get along about as much as my former neighbor's Pomeranian and I did.
What class or classes do you not like? Have you leveled them out of the starting zone, or do the descriptions of the class drive you away?

I hate Pallys, Rogues, Warlocks, MAGES!!, Priests, Druids, Hunters, DK's, Shamans, Warriors..
..... yupp, I suck at PVP.
slim1256 May 20th 2011 8:41AM
Yup - that'd be all of 'em. :)
MattKrotzer May 20th 2011 8:34AM
Paladins.
Between one of them being the driving force behind the collapse of my guild in BC, and their OP status throughout most of Wrath, I doubt there will be any point in the foreseeable future where I can greet a paladin nerf with any kinder response than "Good. F@#$ 'em."
Grak May 20th 2011 9:27AM
Yeah sorry about that guild break-up we as a collective class caused. The paladin hivemind that is the singular entity that controls all paladin players on all servers everywhere was having a bad day and decided to destroy your guild. There was one voice of dissent amongst the paladin-collective, however he was new to the class and didnt know that we actually are not individuals and all act the same way through having identical motivations.
Also its amusing that a 3-week period of being able to 1-shot other players because of unintended class bugs still left a lingering sense of being "OP". Even though the bugs were hotfixed and left paladins in a less than mediocre PvE dps position, and couldnt be found in any real high rated pvp.
But yeah, keep on rocking the class hate because of an individual..
/downrankings proceed!

I think it's cute how you look at a 3 week period of Ret PVP, rather than the vast majority of Wrath for Paladin Tanks, and completely miss my point of view.
Besides, the topic wasn't "What class are you rightly justified in hating?" I admit my dislike is irrational, but it is what it is.

I'm a paladin and i hate paladins .. I figured we would be top of the list for sure.

No, there's no way Paladin hate can beat DK or rogue hate. Especially rogue hate. Even rogues hate other rogues. They'll be going through a bg, stunlocking a clothie or picking their pocket or whatever it is they do, and then suddenly they spot another rogue and they forget everything but the need to take that evil ninja down!
The only thing that ticks me off about paladins in PvP is the fact that you have to kill them twice. OTOH, they did spawn the greatest defense of a useless spec ever, "Hello, I am teh ret", which back in BC was like saying "I am the glue eater that leeches your 2H drops" only it was hilarious. The sad thing is the way pvp works now, holy/prot are more common than ret in PvP, but at least you aren't ashamed of bringing them to raids anymore.

I'm with Matt on this one. I've had 3 guilds dissolve due to Paladins being Paladicks. And it doesn't matter which spec either, first guild break-up was due to a diva pally heals (she insisted that we do Nightbane even though the group wasn't ready for it), second was a douche Pally tank (he thought he could get into Premonition-Sen'jin cause he could kinda tank), third was a Retardin that couldn't pull 4k DPS in ToC and thought he was hot shit (he had the shit part right, if you couldn't faceroll to 7k DPS in ToC 25 you were brain dead).
So, yes, it is the "Paladin Collective" out there destroying guilds. Paladin is THE WORST CLASS ever as far as the people that play it go, while there are exceptions, the majority have serious issues with their attitude. Of the 12 Paladins in my current guild, I think maybe 2 or 3 of them don't have serious problems. Of the hundreds of paladins I've partied with in the RDF over 50% of them were total dick wads and about 40% didn't know their class well enough to be out of regular dungeons, occasionally they fell into both categories.
And, to top that all off, Paladins are not the best at anything they can do. They're not the best tanks (Warriors and DKs take that one, I'd say even a bear can do it better if they know what they're doing). They aren't the best Healers (Priests and Druids take that one, unless we're talking pvp and then it's Shaman and Druid). They aren't the best Melee DPS (They're average at best, total crap at the worst). You can love on Paladins if you want to, but if all Paladins were deleted from the game, I'd do a little dance in the street.

Before Cataclysm? Paladins.
I never leveled one past 20.
After Cataclysm? None.
I have a nascent L40 Paladin, and I actually enjoy it now.
Blizzard did a good job of making each of the classes - weak or not - fun to level in the long term while maintaining their sense of individuality. When I level my mage, it doesn't feel like when I'm leveling my warlock or my priest.
Tricia May 20th 2011 8:35AM
I simply cannot level a Rogue or a Warrior. I've tried repeatedly, but fizzle in whatever secondary zone comes after the starting zone every time. I don't know if it's the playstyle or the combos or what, but they just do not hold any interest for me.
joff_graham May 20th 2011 9:16AM
To be fair to warriors, they are a class that really sucks while levelling. At max level, once they start gearing up, they get a hell of a lot more fun. But until they get there, I hear you, they're just plain dull.
Dan May 20th 2011 9:53AM
What spec did you try? I must admit I deleted 3 arms warriors during BC and Wrath until I tried prot not all that long ago... Ended up 85 in less than a month and is now a T11-clad alt. I dual-specced Fury around 75 or so and really love the class now.
nikdaheratik May 20th 2011 1:17PM
I haven't tried to level a warrior since cata, but I started one in BC and it was a pain at the start because you basically had two DPS abilities for the first couple zones: rend and auto-attack. What, you say we had this mythical ability called "heroic strike"? Silly peoples, that only works if you have *rage* which never ever happens.
But anyways once you got charge, cleave, and retaliation it was more fun. Especially if your rolling with this little gnome that's trying to take out a whole camp of kobolds or troggs or something.
BigRiz May 20th 2011 8:37AM
If I were up against as class, my least favorite opposition is definitely rogues - stuns are just no fun.
Play wise, I still have yet to really get into the DK, likely because you only play them from 55 and up, and don't have the leveling process to really get to know them. With every other class, you spend early levels understanding each and every tool you get, valuing the next talent point and skill, no matter how tedious the process. They grown on you despite a 45%-experience-gain speed boost. With DK's, you are handed an OP killing machine that only get's stronger, and aside from the occasional over-level ganking, you are all but immune from the woes of dying to other equal level toons. For me, this just isn't fun.
xamiens.girl May 20th 2011 8:42AM
Sounds like me and warrior *shudder*
HappyTreeDance May 20th 2011 8:43AM
It's not that I can't stand them, but I can't seem to get into playing either a shaman or a mage.
I've started at least six shaman since I started playing. The second character I ever rolled was a shaman actually. (I'd just read Lord of the Clans and immediately went off to roll an orc shaman). Couldn't get into her, so she got deleted. I thought maybe I just didn't like orcs, so I tried a troll. Still didn't work. Deleted. I already had a tauren druid, so I didn't want a shaman, so I thought maybe I would try to roll a draenei shaman. Still didn't work. Also deleted. Twice. Tried another orc. Deleted.
The thing that bothers me about this is that my two favorite things in WoW are healing and melee dps. I want to like shaman. Shaman would be a great class for me. But there's just something about them I can't get into.
I can't seem to level a mage either, but this surprises me less since I generally don't like caster dps. I have no explanation for how my lock made it to level 70.

Rouges in PVP. Druids everywhere else.
Drack May 20th 2011 10:35AM
Rouges are overpowdered.
*Ba dun tish*

I can't stand paladins...just everything about them irks me. At least one of their specs is always OP in pvp, they're one of the best healers, one of the best tanks, they can solo old content almost better than any other class (until the current incarnation of Blood tanking came along) and yet they still complain...constantly. A they have a lot of players as well so blizz hears them and so every single patch there's something in there for paladins, and it's usually a buff.
Plus they're always whine saying "omg we get nerfed all the time." Well guess what? Your nerfs don't mean anything at all. Paladins are still beastly at pretty much everything they do so shut up about your nerfs. The nerfs are just in there to keep you in line with the other classes. The recent nerfs to holy pallys is a perfect example...they were nerfed because when all the other healers were oom they were still going. Yes it is technically a nerf, but don't cry about it like it was undeserved. What makes pallys so special that they should have better mana longevity than any other healer?
Then there's Lay on Hands...is there anything more annoying? You get them down, then BAM...LoH saves their ass. It's retarded ability. When I played on my pally back in vanilla LoH was a last ditch effort because it used all your mana. You would use it when you were oom you could give the tank one last big heal heal. Now it's just a bullshit extra life with no real tradeoff, as if a class that wears plate armor and is able to heal itself needed one.
I could go on...but I'd better stop myself. I'm probably already going to be downvoted by the legions of paladins out there.
