Indeed, I was under the impression that while most demons are actually just corrupted once-mortal races just like the Eredar were, the Nathrezim have always been what they were. Well, at least in the sense that they didn't need to be corrupted to join the Burning Legion, as said, Sargeras remembered these guys and simply asked them to join.
