Does this mean that normal-mode Firelands stuff is going to be on the same level of difficulty as these nerfed encounters? Is Blizzard just nerfing the old stuff so that everyone gets to see it, or does this represent a change to their encounter-design goals, resulting in normal modes being easier in general from now on?
I hope that's the case; I'd sure like to save most of my wiping for heroic modes. This tier has been brutal for me and my guild, and after so many excessive hours of wiping, It's been much harder to keep interested in raiding. We're not even done with the content, and we're burned out as a guild. Today was Tuesday, and not enough people even logged on for us to do anything! We didn't even raid today. Tuesday, of all days! That hasn't happened before. We ran ICC every week, all the way up to Cataclysm--I don't think we ever missed a reset. Now look at us. It's so weird.
