While I dislike the fact that everything in wow is so mutable (it feels less like a world and more like an amusement park or, well, a video game), these nerfs are good.

The last thing we want to see happen is a repeat of Ulduar in patch 3.2 / Trial of the Crusader. Ulduar was great, but it simultaneously gave outdated gear while still being more difficult than the new place. Nobody ran it ever again until it could be roflstomped in normal/heroic icecrown gear.
