I was going to yell at Adam for making me wade through Game of Thrones spoilers in the comments of yesterday's Queue, but the first book has been out for what, 15 years now? Frankly, I have nobody to blame but myself at this point.

How far into Hyjal questing do I need to be to unlock the ability to do the new daily quest hubs in patch 4.2?
You need to have quested up to the point where Aessina, through you, douses the Inferno and it becomes the Regrowth. If the center of your Hyjal map is all green instead of on fire, you're good to go. If you haven't been in contact with Aessina yet and the center of the map is still covered in fire and corehounds, you should get back to questing.
Honestly, I don't know why they bothered making that a requirement. Everything you saved just gets torched again.

Why is there a Night Elf priest acting as caretaker to Uther's tomb? I wasn't aware the Silver Hand (or its successors) were that close to the followers of Elune.
I've always been under the impression that the caretaker at Uther's Tomb was supposed to be a high elf or a Highborne priest who worshipped the Light. Why he has a night elf model, I have no idea. Maybe he's a convert? The Light, as a faith, doesn't have any racial borders. For example, the troll from the Ashbringer comic, Zabra Hexx, worshipped the Light.

No. Valor points will be used to purchase tier 12, so tier 11 raids will not give you the currency required to buy tier 12.

No. The PTR is isolated from live realms, so you cannot communicate between the two realm types.

No, really! The hunters took some of their ammo to a local wizard and had it enchanted for special occasions.

I was in Uldum when I got the achievement. Deathwing appeared in the eastern section of the zone while I was in the northeastern section, Took me a minute or two to get to where he was, then I had to fly in front of the big idiot because he was ignoring me.

I just got the achievement last week, in the blasted lands. And I never saw him, juts took the portal there from SW and I was in fire.
So that's finally over. Still wish I could have seen him, tho.

I got nuked when I was grinding Ravenholdt rep in Stromgarde a few days ago. The best part? Every mob Deathwing's flames killed... I got rep credit for.

Random personal question, but might spark an interesting discussion:
My shadow priest is 1 faction away from 50 exalted reps. I need to pick the 50th. I don't really have a raid option given my work schedule, so Ashen Verdict and the new Hyjal faction are offlimits. So, my choices are basically:
1. Soloable or semisoloable raid factions (Hydraxian Waterlords, Brood of Nozdormu, Scale of the Sands, Ashtongue Deathsworn)
2. Insane in the Membrane factions (Ravenholdt, Darkmoon Faire, or Bloodsail if I could do it without tanking goblin rep)
What to do?

Brood is honestly probably the easiest of those. It doesn't seem like it at first, but you can get a ton of rep each run, and only really need the help of 2 other people to make it go nice and smooth (tip: solo the first boss then have them come in...those mind controls suck otherwise).
Be sure to remember to loot each boss for the items that you can turn in for extra rep. Also...the chance for a red battle tank is great if you run it with 3 people regularly, so free feat of strength!
(And let's face it...Nozdormu is a badass, so it's a cool faction to have.)

This calculator will tell you things like, "How many dailies until Exalted" or "How many AQ40 runs until exalted?" It will also tell you which solo repeatable quests or mob kills will still give rep at your current standing. I highly recommend it.

By the way, if you've never PvPed, you may actually find that running AV leads to an easy Exalted. Once you're in there, you'll see rep just flowing like candy, win or lose. You'll die a lot if you're not used to PvP, but with the right mindset, you just may have some fun there.

one little caveat to (cutaia)'s link to wowjuju's rep calculator that i just noticed when i looked up my main's own reps: the calculation of how many quest/item turn ins until you reach the next level or exalted does not take into account the additional rep gains from guild perks. I'm guessing that it's beyond their current scripting capability

Solo the first boss in AQ40 unless you're a Hunter; the MC works on you because of the pet. We found this out the hard way >.< It may work the same for Warlocks. A lot of additional DPS from a buddy ensures he won't get off a MC, or only very briefly.
MC and AQ also get to a point where only boss kills will garner rep, though turn ins for AQ can help.

Very helpful, cutaia - thanks. I was leaning towards Brood as well, but wasn't too sure how much a priest could solo... guess I'll find out!
FYI, I have AV exalted already, but not WSG or AB. I guess you could add those to the list of possibles, but to me those sound even more painful than Ravenholdt :)
