The Queue: Claudia Shepard

I impressed myself with how much my Mass Effect 2 Shepard looked like Farscape's Claudia Black. Now you get to see it, too.
Xotzalqual asked:
Will current T11 gear drop in iLvl to match heroic content iLvl when it becomes purchaseable with JP's? Meaning, will it suddenly become iLvl 246 or will it stay 259? I've heard it both ways and I would like a clarification of what exactly will happen to that tier level gear.
Heck, no! The items will remain at their current item level (359). Your method of acquiring them (JPs instead of VPs) is the only thing about them that'll change.
Ziggen asked:
How will we acquire Valor Points in patch 4.2? Of course from firelands raid, but will we still get VP from the heroic dungeons we have today?
Yes, you'll still get VPs for your first seven random heroics and seven Zandalari heroics, up to the 980 Dungeon Finder cap.
Kuro asked:
I need a clever pun name for my Tauren Druid (Bear/Tree). Any suggestions?
Firfur.

I might be too far down the Queue to get answered, but I saw on MMO that Bliz was talking about getting rid of the key ring and all superfluous keys. On the list of keys they were considering to keep I did not see the Karazhan key. I know it doesn't take the key to enter the instance anymore but you still need it to open the gate and the back door. If they take the key out will they also remove the gate/locked back door or will I ever be heartbroken that I can no longer run through Kara once a week?
If it requires a key in 4.1, it will no longer require a key in 4.2. That includes Karazhan.
Britty asked:
Since Patch 4.1 dropped, I've been experiencing a weird type of lag in dungeons. It's a bit hard to describe, but it's similar to what happens when you have a bad internet connection. However, unlike when you have a very weak internet signal, I'm able to type in guild or party and the messages go through. In my experience, it seems to happen more so on certain bosses, in particular ones that like spewing goo all over the place, like High Priest Venoxis and Lord Walden. However, it does happen on other bosses from time to time, but those in particular stick out to me.
However, I don't hear anyone else complain about this. As a healer, this really tends to screw me up, and cause wipes (especially if it's during Blood Venom in ZG, because I go splat since I'm running around waiting for it, and nothing is showing.) It doesn't tend to stop until that particular part is finished.
Is this situational? Am I one of the only people experiencing this? Is there a fix for it?
Note: I know what the poor signal internet is like from using my laptop at my job. My mobile broadband tends to be rather pathetic at most times (Thus, I know typing will not send messages through instantly or at all, if it is the internet.) However, my home internet that I use on my desktop is fine, which is where I do my instances at.
This phenomenon is called desyncing, and it happens to me (a longtime mobile broadband user) all the time. It's when you're still playing, and your actions are going through -- you're just way behind the world server (and the rest of your party). It's especially annoying on fights like, oh, all of them.
It's mainly a symptom of poor signal integrity from your connection. Blizzard tech support recommends a few ways to troubleshoot or fix it. Note that depending on your connection and hardware, it may be unfixable.
Kolonus asked:
I've been seeing the "Assist" function in the Interface menu, in macros, and in many new pet behavioral functions for some time now. Can you please English-ize "Assist" for me?
When referring to pets, assist means the following:
This stance will cause the player's pet to attack the player's target. The pet will not change targets unless the master attacks a new target for a few seconds. When referring to UI functions, it means "target whatever (x player or mob) is targeting." So if you /assist your main tank, you'll target what your tank is targeting at that moment.

Female Shepard's eyes seem a bit to close together. Maybe I'm imaging it?

Why are frost DKs getting nerfed so hard in 4.1? OK, Hungering Cold was very potent in PvP (and still almost useless everywhere else; I'd rather see it changed or glyphed to become a single-target long-term CC so it's useful in PvE, while still weaker in PvP.) Aside from that, most of the changes seem to be concentrated around balancing frost's bursty but not absurd in the long run DPS with unholy's post-nerfedtotheground damage, when it's barely average compared to the other classes. Unholy needs brought up, not the other way around!

Hello Queue!
I have a questions concerning PVP gear. I'm leveling my fun little gobbo rogue and having a blast doing so, I keep up with the AB/WSG honor pieces and plan on acquiring the sets at 60, 70 and 80 (realizing they're ~obsolete by the questing greens but i'm nostalgic). My question is why is there such a huge jump in cost between 70 and 80? Level 70 S4 gloves cost 140 honor, level 80 S9 gloves cost 1040 honor - is it simply because it's more recent? I'd like to get a full set of each level of gear; but I'm not dropping all that honor at 80 when I'll need it at 85 anyway. Thoughts?
Shinae May 27th 2011 12:08PM
The higher your level (or bracket), the more honor points you earn in PvP.
jhayes425 May 27th 2011 12:54PM
To the degree of earning circa seven times the amount of honor? I don't recall such a drastic difference between 70 and 80. Especially considering the difference between level 60 gloves and level 70 gloves is 100% (from 70 honor to 140 honor).

This question may be more appropriate for Spiritual Guidance, but I'm tossing it here because I know some nice editor/writer who reads the queue's comments will give it to Fox if it can't be answered easily here:
After reading the Shadow Priest 4.2 post from the other day, and then the Shadow Priest 101, I am confused about what was meant by something I read (that I can't find now) about shadowfiend using pet assist functionality. I have a whopping level 15 shadow priest, but this so stuck in my mind as something I thought I ought to understand, that I'm asking what, exactly, does that mean?
greenbeans May 27th 2011 2:08PM
It's going to make your pet targeting "smarter", currently I presume the shadowfiend uses a defensive stance, which means it'll attack the first thing it aggros on, the assist stance will make it so the shadowfiend will attack the target you're attacking, and will switch targets if you switch for more than a few seconds.

In my opinion one of the best things Penny can do is run a variety of the 5-man heroics with her group's tank healer, and preferably with seasoned guild DPS who know a few things about tanking.
She might know the fights and how they work, but they need to be fluid, perhaps even subconscious. Get a good feeling for how long X seconds feels so you won't have to look at a buff/debuff timer for that information. Figure out which cooldown is best for which type of situation, instead of blowing the first one you happen to look at. The reason to bring the tank healer along is because synergy isn't something that can be obtained when two people are off doing separate things.
I'm strongly considering moving my pally tank into a guild that raids, and I've already decided that I'm not stepping into a single raid until the raid leader and tank healer know my style of tanking, and if necessary have corrected me to fit with the group better.

Earlier today while refreshing wowinsider I was suddenly on the page for overachiever: noble garden. Perhaps they were doing some site maintenance with a major holiday weekend in the US?

Farscape? FARSCAPE?!
Stargate SG-1 or go home!
RuzGofDI May 27th 2011 12:04PM
Yes, Farscape Claudia. If he had used Stargate Claudia, his Renegade bar would be filled instead of his Paragon bar.

Are there plans to remove the Sealed Chest reward for killing the Lich King after obtaining Shadowmourne?
Also, have they reduced the drop rate of shards for heroic ICC encounters? I've gotten significantly less per clear since 4.1.
Red Hawk May 27th 2011 12:18PM
I can't say i have seen any announcement regarding the Sealed Chest, and at this point, i'd say if they were going to have done something about it, then they would have announced it at the same time they dealt with Invincible and Mimiron's Head.
Dunno what your drop rate has been like, but i've had a solid 7 per run for the last 2 runs (post cata) with a 1 (LK only) and a 5 from pre cata icc clears. I still got 30 shards to go tho..
The quest line itself is going to be a pain for anyone who isn't already at the shard collection phase, primarily from the Blood Infusion quest. For that you need an understanding raid group who is capable of sitting on their hands for long enough to allow you to be bitten first and then have 3 subsequent bites.
Kurtis May 27th 2011 11:59AM
@Sacco - you do realize that Claudia Black did multiple voices for ME2? So her similarity to a character probably isn't too far-fetched.
Michael Sacco May 27th 2011 1:20PM
It wouldn't be far-fetched, no, except that the Shepard above isn't a default Shepard. I made her! :)
Grovinofdarkhour May 27th 2011 3:01PM
Dude, you're an artiste! I'm gonna start calling you MS Paint.
Shammytime May 27th 2011 12:06PM
With the various classes capable of battle rezing now do you thing bliz will consider allowing druids to cast theirs while in bear form? Since druids have a hard time using theirs if they are actively tanking while dks are free to rez people if they are tanking.
