It's time to get over the "split pvp and pve" idea. Though it makes life harder for them in some ways, the Blizzard developers are clearly set on proceeding under the current design philosophy. So stop wasting your breath.
As someone who has played DKs from their inception, and experienced the rollercoaster of sometimes weekly talent, gem, glyph, and playstyle revamps, this is both frustrating and unsurprising. What is most annoying though, is the degree of the changes being made, as Mr. Whitcomb emphasizes. Their recent nerf to unholy's base str bonus, now reversed, is a great example of the fallibilty of the Blizz team's idea of 'incremental' change. These are complicated systems at work, and fine tuning will always be required with evolving gear, encounter design, etc. but I hope Blizzard will learn to proceed with greater deliberation and take a more incremental approach.
