Winged Guardian mount in action

Over a year ago, WoW players ran the gamut of emotions when the Celestial Steed was introduced. Now, however, DLC (downloadable content) has become a fact of life for many games and virtual worlds. In fact, many people (myself included) don't understand why these mounts don't come out even more frequently, because there is obviously a market for these cool extras.
Check out the video of the Winged Guardian in action. So far, I like this guy. He feels thick and beefy, with a lot of weight to him -- definitely an imposing presence. Plus, it's not another dragon, and we can all be excited for that.

If there is no cash shop, no one can buy anything, whether they want to or not. If there is a cash shop, people who want can buy, and people who don't can abstain. There's every reason in the world you would either shop or not based on your personal preferences, but there's no reason you would be bothered by the existence of the shop unless you're one of those petty, self-centered brats who things if *you* want something, no one should have it. With it there, everyone can do as they please. They have a choice. Get over your childish desire to force *your* preferences on everyone else, and let people do what *they* want, rather than forcing your choice on everyone else.

I'll happily pay for this as I choose to and it does not afffect my game experience in anyting but a cosmetic way.
I am pissed off about the proposed cross server grouping being a paid service though, as that does affect gameplay and I dont agree with that in any shape of form being pay to play in a sub mmo

You'll have to forgive folks here beast, even the one Insider staff. They obviously love their WoW plus MT's...even when it's taking them to the cleaners. Just don't question them about it, and you'll be fine. /shrug

Its just like my preference for buying polo brand shirts. When I can afford it I buy the name brand Ralph Lauren, but when short on cash I buy Target. This doesn't affect my play in any way or form and therefore is purely cosmetic. Celestial Steed? Bleh, Hood can take that with him. Winged Guardian? Pretty good looking and I am contemplating buying it when possible. However, if I don't I can still pwn bosses and elites.

Wow...McCurly. You seriously believe that? That's rather presumptuous of you...especially when many have concluded the fee is overpriced in comparison to other games' cash shop mounts. Perhaps even though you are a game journalist you missed that. Or is it simply the poor should not be playing WoW in your mind? If it's that, then what a disgustingly classist thing to say.

Yeah he's huge when you're a Tauren. Although, he's still pretty big on a goblin. He's just a big mount in general.

My troll warrior and my troll priest demand bat mounts. Why should the batriders of Thrallmar get all the fun? I wouldn't even mind sharing them with the Alliance.

I kind of skimmed through the video, but how well does it look when it runs on the ground? I've bought the sparkle pony mainly as a way of feeding my army of alts with a mount so they don't have to go back to their home cities to hunt for one... and the sparkle pony looks horrible running on the ground.
The walk looks good, but except for silly RP occasions, I'll never have the thing set to walk...
Oh, and there's an hour long queue to get this new mount...

It looks pretty nice running, at least in my opinion. Think like the lions running in the Lion King, I guess.
