Blizzard's gonna hear our woes, remove the cooldown on redirect, and call it a day.

I'm kidding, I have more faith in them than that.

Anyway, if the design of the encounters continue to spit on melee like this, then there should be absolutely no reason why ALL melee should be competing for the top of the meters.
