Aaaand my hunter will be crying. I play on a pvp server, so this pet is going to be the death of him (literally).
On the plus side, if I can't tame him, I do have Gondria, so just a little different coloring, but still all good.

Heres an idea: the action of taming should place a buff on the tamer and the pet being tamed. It would make both targets immune to all outside damage, but the pet can still hurt the hunter. This would prevent a (insert expletive of choice) from ruining someones day by killing the future pet or the hunter. It truly is a first-come-first-serve system: whomever gets to the rare pet first, gets it. Call the buff something like...Eye of the Liger...
Sorry, I'm not a very clever person when it comes to names. No more PVP problems, though! Other than the pack of ten hunters waiting to rip you apart when you're done taming...
