I'll chalk it up to hilarious irony that the hyperlink for the Lava Bore Blunderbuss leads to the Lava Bolt Crossbow. :D

The item was recoded to a crossbow sometime in the past 48 hours or so. It was originally a gun. It'd be more "hilarious" if I wasn't a Dwarf Hunter with Engineering, myself.

Also, for those claiming that it was going to be a "useless" item, remember that not every player is a raider or a PvPer, and that this is a BoE item. This means that gamers that only have time to run heroics, quest, roleplay, craft, etc. have an alternative end-game ranged weapon.

I think the crossbow and gun just switched item IDs. I was looking at a link for the crossbow yesterday over on Wowhead somewhere and it took me to the gun. I am unable to verify this at the moment though.

Either way, it is a hilarious and perfectly-timed little switch!
