You here? Great. Now, I know that times are tough -- your big guys have been hurt, are hurt, or are just coming off some serious injuries. But 17-37? The worst record in baseball, by far? Let's not do this anymore.
K?
You can go back over there and read or play cards or whatever else it is that you do when you should be practicing. Just don't let Torri Hunter catch you ... Remember what he did in 2006.
Inbred asked:
I have 4000 JPs and 3000 VPs and I know that VP are being converted to JP in 4.2. So, what happens when you're at the JP cap of 4000? Will my VP turn into "Vapor Points", or will the 4000 cap be lifted so that I will have a total of 7000 JPs?
I can't find any official statement from Blizzard on this. However, the "community wisdom" is that you'll have a total of 7,000 justice points. You won't be able to earn any more justice points until your total justice points drops below the 4,000 mark.
Expect a post from Blizzard clarifying this soon™.
Devo_AS asked:
When are we going to get new Guild tabard icons? They are all VERY dated, pixelated and just uninteresting images. For example, why cant Arena team icons be used on tabards to add some variety? Or just some updated versions of the limited choice we have now?
Blizzard hasn't said anything about this, but I agree with you -- they're very dated. My guess is there are other priorities for the art folks. However, they are adding female forms of warlock demons, so who knows ...
Joe asked:
Could we still see epic gems in 4.2, or is it too late by now? Do we know everything about 4.2 by now, save for some class changes yet to come?
While Blizzard is still adding things into the client data files right now, no epic gems or anything that points to them have been added -- and as big of a thing as they'd be, I'd assume they'd already be here if they were. So, my gut is telling me not in 4.2.

As a side note, someone mind walking me through how to set up a proper username here? Logging in on Joystiq proper doesn't seem to work - it asks me to set an username as a 'first time login' every time, and yet that username doesn't stick here.

Yeah...Honor and Conquest will go through the same conversion as Justice and Valor. Everything that applies to the PvE side applies to the PvP side, i.e.:
-Your Conquest points will turn to Honor and you'll start the next season with zero Conquest points.
-We don't know what will happen if this causes you go above the honor cap of 4,000, but most likely you'll just not gain honor until you're back below the cap.
-The current Conquest gear will become purchasable for Honor.
-The current Honor gear? We don't know for sure. Maybe they'll lower those prices...maybe they'll just go away. Hopefully one of the two so we don't end up with an honor vendor with a bunch of overpriced, outdated gear cluttering up the interface.

Have you tried clicking on the "Returning" tab?
Also, while we're not sure, I think the conquest points would end being converted down to Honor.
But something you have to keep in mind is that that's all when a season ends, and we haven't heard anything yet about the season ending with 4.2.
Personally, I hope the bloodthirsty gear will be available still, but for a reduced cost.

Unless the next Arena season coincides with 4.2, I don't think anything will happen to Honor and Conquest points when the patch hits.
(cutaia) Jun 2nd 2011 11:50AM
According to Zarhym, "the release of the next Arena season, won't happen until the release of 4.2."
This was awhile ago, but I've no reason to think this plan has changed.

Yes, on the PTR atm conquest points all dropped to honor, so when the season actually ends, that is the conversion that will occur.
However, the PTR does not currently have any level 85 pvp gear vendors on it (at least in SW anyway) so, there hasn't been a way to check on the current season's gear. That being said, the current vicious glad gear is now tagged with 'Season 9' in teh same way that heroic gear is tagged 'Heroic'. Given current live VP gear has moved down, and older pvp sets have historically become available at honor prices it'd be a fairly safe bet that Vicious Glad gear will be honor purchased once Season 9 ends.

Jeez and I thought the Red Sox had a bad start!

What are the coolest companion pets? what companion pets do the coolest things?
Grovinofdarkhour Jun 2nd 2011 11:18AM
There are a black cat and a skunk, and if two different people bust them out, the skunk chases the cat around like Pepe Le Pew. It's awesome.
Hal Jun 2nd 2011 11:28AM
Most of the special companion pets (i.e. those you buy from Blizzard or get from cards/promotions/etc.) tend to be considered the coolest, as these guys have special actions or animations they'll perform.
For example, the Zergling pet fights with Grunty (and with Mini-Thor, as I understand.)
Some of the store pets have special interactions. You can /bow to the Pandaren Monk and he'll bow back. You can /dance with the Moonkin Hatchling and he'll dance back.
There are others you don't have to spend real money for, though. Stinker will chase after Black Tabby Cats or Bombay Cats.

Murky with his top hat and cane. I love that little guy.

The singing sunflower sings. You will either love it or you will hate it. You get the pet from a quest in Hillsbrad
Namy Jun 2nd 2011 11:59AM
Well my fave is the Frigid Frostling. He's very cool indeed! (see what I did there?) ; ) I love the way he zaps unsuspecting people with his frosty powers making it snow over them for a while. He just wishes he was bigger so he could do some real damage the poor thing.

You can cook on mini Ragnaros!

Not gonna lie, I enjoy my turkey and it's impending demise...over and over and over and over again...

Adding to what Hal said, non-blizzard store pets that are fun are:
Mojo the frog from ZA (If you blow him a kiss he whispers something dirty and froggy to you and turns you into a frog for a few seconds)
The Voidwalker from the book-hunting achieve in Dalaran doesn't really do anything, but he is huge and awesome. Getting him is a lot more interesting than most pet farms.
Withers the little dark treant comes from doing just about all the Auberdine quests. If you have ties to Darkshore from days gone by, then it is a great chain to follow through that rewards a memorable pet.
There are tons and tons of just really cute ones, but unfortunately (to-date) the most interactive ones come from spending real money in one way or another. Lil' Ragnaros can double as a basic campfire and Lil' KT does a boatload of awesome stuff.
Blizz is really pushing pets in all directions right now - cute, interactive, different ways to be obtained, so I can only imagine they will keep getting better and more interesting with more time.

I didn't know about the skunk and cat chase until the other day I had my skunk out and one of the members of our highest ranked raiding guilds targeted my skunk and pulled out their black cat. It's the little interactions with other players in this game that make me the happiest. :P

Defintiely the Crawling Claw from Tol'vir archaeology. It plays Rock/Paper/Scissors with other claws.
Shinae Jun 2nd 2011 1:17PM
Withers the treant will get bigger when it stands in water, then shrink when it's "dry."

My vote is for Grunty the Murloc Marine. He has a machine gun and shoots it Al Pacino style. If you are not into you know weaponry then there is Egbert. He runs around like a chicken with his [head removed] and is one of the cuter pets available. I would probably then go with the Frigid Frostling which pelts the nearest person with a snowball. From what I can remember it hits opposite faction people as well which is a bonus if you ask me. I am hoping they make a baby octopus like the ones that are off the coast of Rut'Theran. If you haven't been over there lately and want to see something as cute as any kitten go check it out. There is even a daily quest to gather them up.
