Glad you made it, finally.
Of course I have to wait until I get home to listen, but I'm happy this will be there for me when I do get home.

Just in time for my Thursday ride home from work. Working from home tomorrow, so today is like abirtual Friday.

Freaking auto correct

...wow. "Abirtual" isn't even in the online dictionary. That auto-correct has some serious issues. @_@

Yay, I can listen to the entire thing now. Dang convocation messing things up...

McCurley's voice is really really quiet compared to Sacco and Rossi. 'Twas most irksome, please adjust his volume in future!

I was testing out a new mic while recording and streaming the show, so it didn't get noticed. It's better half way through. I know where to talk into the mic now though, haha.

One thing that I wanted to point out about Trion's character transfers for Rift is that according to their Q&A there will be restrictions that take things like faction and server population balance in to account. If I'm not mistaken if you pay Blizzard for the transfer you don't have these kind of restrictions. Also keep in mind that Blizzard does offer free transfers very rarely that match up to the criteria that Trion is setting up for their transfers.

I, too, think there's room for one more class. I'd *really* like to see a class, or at least a spec, that actually uses two-handed agility weapons instead of simply equipping them.
I loves me some polearms.
MusedMoose Jun 2nd 2011 7:38PM
Seconded. Using a staff on my low-level warrior made me wish they were a more viable weapon throughout the game. The animations for polearms are amazing, at least on the night elves.

Why does Blizzard charge for server transfers ? Because it makes Blizzard profits and people will pay for it. End of story. Trion is in a different situation because they want to attract subscribers and they do not think charging for server transfers makes sense for their business. Comparing Trion to a lemonade stand shows your fanboy status and pure ignorance. How Wow Insider could have you speak authoritatively about anything technical or mmo industry related boggles the mind. I realize it is not easy to fill 90 minutes of a podcast but that was a prepared question and you could have thought of a better answer than that.

"Nozdormu doesn't take action." Yeah, he's a big-ass Time Lord.

Another great podcast. Two comments:
My cynical theory is the next expansion will have a new race per faction and no new classes.
New classes are a lot of work. And the PvP balance QQ would be loud, even if they were balanced. And let's face it, early DKs were not that balanced.
Whereas new races are a huge moneymaking opportunity; how many $25 did Blizzard get for worgen and Goblins? $25 times a big number is a bug number. (True tin-hats will say they got about all their goblin $25 before nerfing the racial.)

I must call a bit of fanboi on your pricing comments. In 8 years, you can buy about 3200% computing power for the same dollar. At least for computer hardware, keeping a constant price for the same feature is a significant price increase.
While it costs more to support 11 million people than 1 million, the costs per person are much less. I.e., Blizzard's costs per user are much lower than any competitor.

I'm sure Live is extra work, but it does change things up a bit. Thanks again!

That joke would be so funny and valid if it was the Xbox 180.
