I really liked Hyjal. I liked the druids, I liked the squirrel quests, I liked Tortuga (or whatever his name is). I liked the bear quests. I sorta liked the joust, even. The whimsical references in this game keep it fresh and ENTERTAINING. Not just go here slaughter that. Its a huge factor in WoW's success, for me. Games like Rift completely do not have this element and they feel very dry to me. What I did not like is the inexplicable phasing and linearity; there were so many times you felt like 'what now?' and if you ever had the misfortune/idioticy of abandoning quests in a zone only to try and find them again, you can get really stuck really easily. I think on the whole the new zones *are* very cool but its really very much the same old thing as far as the quests themselves. Slaughter 10 of these. Gather 5 of these. Talk to this person. The unique quests really help it shine.
