@devilsei: Since they were supposed to be putting out patches at a faster pace, and we see how that has turned out, I doubt they would start releasing expansions faster. Maybe I misunderstood, but the language they used in describing faster and more frequent patches meant we would be talking about 4.3 and possibly 4.4 by now.

I know a lot of people complain about Activision's meddling in Blizzard's affairs, but I doubt they would screw with a cash cow like WoW in a way that would be potentially devastating to the game (and their profits).
