Levelling is so quick these days, the only thing that could make it take a significant period of time is getting bored/not enjoying the playstyle.

For hardcore raiding, playing your second favourite spec because it's more viable is a good thing (if you're that dedicated), for levelling up just play whichever gives you the most funsies ;)
