It's not a "for sure" thing, but everything that I've heard from internal sources as well as just the every-two-years nature points to yes. WoW Insider is sending 10 people to BlizzCon this year, so that's how strongly we feel the next expansion will be announced.

Laziness, pure and simple. And you know what? I hope people take advantage of that laziness, too. It's the buyer's own fault if they can't just visit the enchanting vendor.

I'd say that the main reason people spend good gold on Vellum, is that there are still a lot of people who aren't aware that Vellum is purchasable now through a vendor.
And yes, gnomes are nasty little things.

Yes, Laziness wasn't it for me. It was that I didn't notice because you used to have to make them. Then I noticed by accident and felt dumb for not noticing before.

By the same token, Dust of Disappearance (the level 81-85 version), I'd figured would have a place on the AH, cheaper than vendor but worth making maybe. Instead it's usually listed at above vendor and I'm not sure if anyone buys it.
Which is one thing to remember with the AH, it's not ebay, you don't see what stuff sells for, just what people have asked for it.

This. Even I, who consider myself quite "up" on changes like this, was surprised a couple months ago to find that the vellums I'd been purchasing off the AH were unnecessary. Thankfully the fact that they're bought from a vendor for so cheap means that they weren't that expensive on the AH either.

This happened to me as I was leveling enchanting. Went to AH to buy some vellum, saw there was none available on Auction House. Went onto wowhead to see how I was supposed to get the stuff and saw it was easily and cheaply available from vendor.
Bought myself a stack, then just for kicks bought four more stacks and chucked them into the AH for 20g each. 5 minutes later, they are all bought out and I'm cackling all the way to the bank.

Add me as another enchanter who miss the change initially. I didn't by too much vellum off the AH after the change, so I don't feel too silly and it was my alts professions.

I regularly go AH fishing with enchanting vellum and dust of disappearance. Throw them on for 1g and 20g respectively, in five stacks of one each. Most of the time a couple sell, sometimes they don't. But just one purchase makes up for all the lost deposits of the others.

Actually... thanks to the Undermine Journal, there is a simple addon that you can install which will tell you precisely how much an item has recently sold for on the Auction House. Not just what it was listed for, but the actual gold / silver / copper that was spent.

Yeah, just to add to the chorus, it's not usually laziness. Before Cataclysm the vellums HAD to be made by a Scribe; this meant the AH was the perfect place to go looking for them. Now that they consolidated all vellums into one and offer it at the vendor a lot of people just assumed they still needed Scribes to access them and buy them from the AH.
I've educated many people since Cata's release about the vendor, and they're all very appreciative to learn. ;) So don't just lump them all together and say they deserve their fate!

Will the new professions patterns drop from the raid bosses or will there be some other method of delivery? Also, any information on the drop rate of the living embers required to make the items? I'd guess that it will be one per raid boss per attempt, but I haven't seen that substantiated anywhere.

What are the chances that next expansion will be a revamp of outlands with maybe a demon hunter class and we kill kiljaeden, and the expansion after that where we go back to northrend to wake up bolvar to help us fight sargeras?
