WoW Insider's Weekly Webcomic: Safe Passage
Welcome to another edition of WoW Insider's Weekly Comic, Safe Passage.
We all have things that are precious to us. Some of us have a ring or a pressed flower from a sweetheart. Then some of us have swords as large as a full-grown human.
Considering that "scaling" Ash'gor's sword would have been silly, it's the same size. Also, everyone in Azeroth has super-human strength anyways, so it works. Trust me.

Great work, as always. I sure hope the Orc doesn't kill that guard, that would certainly put him and the Elf at odds. But, then again, all the better for the story.

Intercept to Guard > Disarm > Concussion Blow > Intervene to Mig and Eni. He'll be out of there with his sword before the stun wears off. Don't doubt the warrior toolkit, my friend.
Dreyja Jun 7th 2011 2:29PM
@thebitterfig - You just made me much less afraid about how this is going to go. It would be a shame for there to be blood-shed at this point.
Mr. Crow Jun 7th 2011 3:12PM
As long he doesn't Battle Shout at the start, we should be fine.
mdumoulin.home Jun 7th 2011 2:55PM
fear the eyeless guard !
Prelimar Jun 7th 2011 4:05PM
oh, silly orc -- clearly, the alliance guy HAS the sword, so by your definition it's *already* tainted. besides, no need to get all spun out about it... isn't there some sort of cleaning ritual or something the troll can do for ya?
Kaida Jun 7th 2011 4:53PM
Of course there's a ritual. Unfortunately for the guard, it requires copious amounts of his blood.
Prelimar Jun 7th 2011 4:57PM
some how, i just KNEW that was going to be the answer. : |

Then again, maybe the only way the sword could acquire it's 'taint' is to be used in combat; thus, if the guard has yet to kill a member of the Horde, the sword is still taint-free.
Amaxe Jun 7th 2011 6:26PM
"The memory of who held this sword will not be tainted by Alliance hands"
Perhaps he should remember the faction of the person helping him. Otherwise...
[Ennari casts Ice Trap]. "Hey guards... prisoners are right here..."
;-)
psiberkiwi Jun 11th 2011 7:33AM
But is that 'held the sword' in general, or 'held the sword' in combat? Otherwise, anyone simply HANDLING the sword could possibly 'taint' it...
fudge Jun 7th 2011 7:01PM
So ... he will not have the sword that was probably used to kill humans in the first wars "tainted" by Alliance hands?
Silly orc.
Hob Jun 7th 2011 8:27PM
Meh. He's been in jail, presumably without hope of trial (after all, who would defend him?) and merely awaiting his execution. And that's AFTER risking his life and freedom to bring two Alliance kids to a safe place.
He's hasn't been shown to be a bad guy (yet anyway), so... maybe he's just blowing off steam? Remember that, in the context of this story, he and Mig have been captured by the same people who just massacred Camp Taurajo.
Put another way, you'd want your sword back if it were being held by a nameless soldier who used the plague on Southshore, right? And you probably wouldn't be too nice about it, regardless of the sword's past?
NielsdeJONG Jun 13th 2011 4:48PM
Funny how he revers to the sword being "tainted" by a member of a faction to which a certain elf who is helping them out belongs :P
Perhaps we should help him remember which fact is responsible for the Alliance/Horde aggression in cata? ^^;
Oh, and please don't go all "camp Taurajo" on me. Had the Horde not invaded, the whole Goblin starting zone and Taurajo would not have happened in the first place.
