I like to think there was one super-planet to begin with, home to the Glorious Troll Empire or something. Then they killed their gods and blew said planet up, causing the Big Bang and spreading the pieces of their planet everywhere in the universe.

But some loa survived their own slaughter, and when the chunks of rock and dust they clung to eventually became absorbed by other planets forming, the ones on what would become Azeroth decided that the troll design was good, it just needed a little tweaking.

Then time passes, and the loa discover they didn't quite remove the "prone to killing own gods" part of their regenerating servants' mindsets, and the rest is history. And murder.
