I laugh at the "RIFT has proven you can release against WoW and maintain a sizeable user base and even continue to grow" bit. Tell that the the tons of empty servers that friends have to sit in 4 hours queues to get into groups with.

I'm sure it does, if you're playing on one of the two servers only listed as High.

And please don't try to sell me on "They have tons of Medium servers." It's been shown that the lowest population a medium server can have is around 200 people total.
