Honestly, besides announcing a new xpac, there really isn't much else new that Blizzard could bring WoW-wise that would cause everyone to ignore TOR.A new xpac? Same ol raids, same ol daily grinds, same ol heroics, same ol bad guys that aren't convincing, just the same ol, same ol.4.2 is just another raid, with the same dailies that we have seen before. But this time with FIRE!At this point all Blizz is really doing wow-wise is slapping paint on the game. They really need to do something new with the game.Once TOR arrives, I'm out unless WoW can do something to bring back that the wow. And I played WoW since vanilla, but after awhile of playing the same content, the same way, just with a different look really makes the game boring...

You're forgetting a little game named Diablo 3. While not an mmo, it appeals to the same crowd. When I realized Blizzard will launch it as close to TOR as possible, I heard my wife berating me for buying two $60 games so close to Christmas (All assumption, of course)

@KLRMNKYThis isn't directed at you specifically but: Why is EVERYONE saying a Diablo III? It -doesn't- appeal to the same crowd. Diablo has NEVER appealed to me. At all. Neither has Starcraft. I loved the Warcraft games and I love WoW, but I haven't and won't be playing Starcraft or Diablo. SW:Knights of the Old Republic was huge, Bioware has a huge fan following for their Mass Effect games and their Dragon Age games (and hell, I'd even take a second Jade Empire). I play other games in the same genres, but if it's a choice between a Bioware game and another game released at the same time, Bioware is always going to win for me. Bioware are -amazing- storytellers, which Blizzard used to be better at but they've really lost their way now. I'm going to note here, I hate Star Wars. I really actually do. I can't stand to watch the movies... even the original three. I don't like Star Wars. So when my friend made me try out SW:KOTR, I figured I'd hate it. I couldn't. The world -Bioware- created, the characters they created, the storylines....I loved the game, much to my shock. I found out several of my other friends who were never enthused about Star Wars equally loved it. You're not just looking at the Star War fanatic crowd, you're looking at the Bioware fan crowd too. Diablo III doesn't necessarily appeal to the same crowd. Some may fall into both circles, but there's always people that are only in one or the other.
