Oh, and I think by "customization" in this case they mean that your gear actually matters. Like, as a druid, you never see your gear, so it doesn't matter if you're a newly dinged level 8 feral druid or a feral druid raiding hardmodes, aesthetically you look identical. This kind of thing allows you to kind of... "show off" your progression and gear in the same way other classes do.
