Both crabs and cats can be tamed by any hunter. And as with any pets, the buffs they provide can be useful if a raid lacks a specific buff.

Non-combat pets and mounts are useless for raiding. Raiding is the endgame of WoW but not everything has to have use to raiding. The questline where Thrall goes BOOM won't affect raiding (unless you're waiting for a tank to stop doing it and accept the invite so you can melt Rag's face off...again). It's supposed to be fun. These mounts are supposed to be fun. I just want to know why fun haters play games...

Yeah.... 'cause even if these WERE BM exclusive, BM is TOTALLY not raid viable... That 20k single-target DPS I did on Argaloth in my BM off-spec the other day clearly isn't enough.
