Ding! is another piece by Dreyfus Xano, who created the Million Miles from Home. It's a music video using original lyrics, as far as I can tell. (If it's really a cover of something, I'm not sure I recognize the song.)
At first, the video felt pretty rough to me. However, I found by the time I listened to it all, the lyrics and hook grew on me. Dreyfus could use some vocal practice, but the earnestness and passion help brings the music up to a higher level.
Xano shows a lot of class in this video, methodically giving shout-outs to other machinima and filk creators who have inspired him. While I don't know if he's had contact with any of the folks, it's still a nice touch to say "thank you" to people who've helped him find his passion. Interested in the wide world of machinima? Yeah i thought it sucked at first too, till the end when he mentioned axehorn, Nyhm, and the rest and was like, na im not as good as them but i do the best that i can. It added a tidbit of charm.
Yea the music is remember the name by the words are not set to it say like one of nyhm's earlier works which was reworded eminem song. This is also where some of the roughness is come from since the rap is not matching the beat.
THAT was too cute. I think we can all identify with the early-day grind. I too was gifted the money to get my first mount, back in the day. That's the only way I was going to be able to afford it at lvl. 40. Times have certainly changed. ;)
Here's a /salute to the random kindness of strangers!
That was a LOT of /gquit though, makes me happy I've been in the same guild from the start. :)
I thought that was awesome. Really cute for sure, and his singing definitely wasn't bad, imo. The idea of the song was really good. I would love to see more from him.
Thank you again, Mr Gray for featuring this. I am honored to have been featured again. This was indeed my first attempt at creating my own rap and song. I do also realize I have a long way to go if I am going to get to the level of Nhym or Cranius or any other well known artist.
I was able to get permission from Nhym to use his image in this video but I was unable to contact Oxhorn or Cranius. I just hope I portrayed them positvely enough.
I have many more videos ideas coming, suffice it to say I am not going to be a one hit wonder.
Thank you for your kind comment, to my knowledge Oxhorn started his videos with nothing more than WoW, Fraps, and Windows Movie Maker. I do use Sony Vegas but I don't know everything about it, I am still learning and its a student version. Vegas cost about $200-$300 for the student version so I say if you do not have that much money to drop into it start with Fraps and WMM. Fraps to my knowledge is $30.
I will look you up on Argent Dawn and we can talk further.

I liked the beat. The rapping is a bit...rough but that's due to how he put the rhymes together. All in all I liked it.

It's called "Remember the Name" by Fort Minor - says so at 0:23.

At first, my thoughts were "ugh, this is going to suck." but I gave it a chance. It wasn't half bad! I liked it. I found it fun.

I lasted through the entire song, I just think this guy needs to work on his rhyming and lyrics to match the beats.

I heard his voice and turned it off. Sorry fella, you're not gonna make my ears bleed this time!

The guy is promising. Catchy tunes and I liked the story of his character and his progression. TBVH his singing is better than mine as well, 8-)

Drey, I watch all sorts of videos, Oxhorn being one of my favorites. You are somewhat new at this, but I thought your video was fun and very catchy!
Besides, good god, who am I to even critique anything?! I don't even know how to make a video, so you're WAY ahead of me!
If you ever decide you would like to help someone learn how to make of these, please contact me here or in game, I play on Argent Dawn as Laylla.
Ive had some really cool ideas but am clueless as to how to make one!
Keep up the good work!
