3 comics feature or mention the lionlike mount.
Azarizotza Jun 12th 2011 2:27PM
Yes, Million Miles was a nice nod to the WoW fan art community. For the most part, we all have each other's backs.
YouAreDisgusting Jun 12th 2011 5:48PM
You deserve cancer for posting that Sara & Kleeyo "comic".
Azarizotza Jun 12th 2011 7:54PM
That's pretty dark...
Shouldn't you deserve cancer for wishing cancer on someone else?
Agony Jun 13th 2011 1:10PM
Az - this "person" is Asenath from the post below, using a different name so he can be more harsh (and hopefully avoid being banned).
Asenath Jun 12th 2011 6:53PM
I'm boycotting Sara and Kleeyo. Seriously uncool.
Azarizotza Jun 12th 2011 7:53PM
Woah woah, hey…It's called Dark Humor.
Secondly, it's not like she drew a comic where she was going around killing kittens herself and and condoning it. You have to admit, Deathwing is a jerk. In fact he's evil and would probably has killed kittens in such a fashion.
LouCypher Jun 12th 2011 10:47PM
Azarizotza, would it be equally funny if Deathwing were raping orphans instead?
I'd never heard of the site, but if that passes for "humor" then I'm not missing anything.
Super Marxio Jun 13th 2011 1:35AM
If never reading it again counts as a boycott, count me in. You can defend the topic all you want, but there's no defending the ugly art, lame humor, and terrible grammar.
Azarizotza Jun 13th 2011 3:06AM
You can count on that, by the way.
I think of as many possibilities as I can, regardless of the gruesomeness or terrible nature of the idea in question. It's not always a pleasant place to be, but the problem is if you "boycott" and idea without ever considering the full context and nature of the problem, you "boycott" a way of thinking. The same way I can say "I don't care much for Uncle Tom's Cabin" and just boycott the book, without engaging ideas aroused by the thought…
Now the fact you mention Deathwing raping children. Yes, it is a different story, only because you mentioned it, and I came to a logical conclusion that it's unreasonable and also against my threshold of humor AFTER CONSIDERING WHAT I THINK IS RIGHT AND WRONG. At that point, I'd consider it "Distasteful and Disturbing" but would not disallow the idea to permeate the considerations of others so that they can form their own conclusions, others who may be interested in darker humor which I find acceptable may find it fine, but I would never imply that the idea shouldn't be allowed to exist in the first place.
Being that I play a game where I can toss a gigantic fireball at a critter (imaging it burn in horrible pain to death) or even kill one by accident (cat, rabbit, crab, squirrel…et cetera) I think this isn't an infeasible idea to represent in the context of the comic itself, especially since the ultimate enemy of this expansion is the one doing it. AT NO POINT IS IT AN OPTION TO RAPE CHILDREN OR IT IS EVEN IMPLIED…in fact, I've killed more people than I think all the wars in our world has killed and that doesn't seem to be a problem, and we object to critter killing? And it's not like she's condoning it, the point of it was that YOU HATE DEATHWING MORE...
To make this comment more complete, the author behind Sara and Kleeyo works very hard on what she makes. She works hard on her art (which isn't easy) and occasionally messes up on spelling… do you know how hard that is to keep straight with the things we use to make comics? None of them have spell checks! And don't tell me to type up what they are saying in a word processor and copy+paste them back in because you have no idea what the horror is redrawing your bubbles, or realizing the inflection in the character's expression has no connection to what you thought they might be saying in the frame…the writing for the most part, is freehand like the drawing…I ask you to consider the work involved and the dedication to the community before you insult someone so blindly.
It's easy to ignore, it's hard to challenge.

Your defense of this comic is remarkable only in its prolixity. I really don't care what your excuses are for your failure to produce a higher-quality web comic. If you can't draw, and you can't spell, perhaps the web comic medium isn't for you? As for the lack of spellcheck in your image production pipeline, I am singularly unimpressed. It isn't difficult to take a moment to look up a word you're not sure is correct before you type it into your comic. Alternatively, you could get an education and learn basic spelling and English grammar. Either way, I will give your comic the exact same level of attention you seem to: none whatsoever.
Azarizotza Jun 13th 2011 4:17AM
You were the "afterthought" of this argument. Suffice it to say, I get the many emails telling me the same thing
Looking back at the history of your comments sir, you are an outright cynical person.
Critical person: I don't think this is tasteful.
Cynical person: This sucks. Boycott. This idea is stupid..., People are going to do this stupid thing everywhere with this patch.
I'm sorry sir. I will not continue to continue these arguments in person. As disappointing of a person you think I may be, you can contact me at by finding the link on the webcomic I draw
Good Luck
Super Marxio Jun 13th 2011 5:30AM
I am aware that I am the "afterthought." That's why I responded. I may be cynical, but at least I've never compared my fifth-rate video game webcomic to "Uncle Tom's Cabin." That would make me delusional. I like that you think I would bother to visit your website to continue this discussion.
Spoilers: Nope!

@Super Marxio: While I found the comic in question to be BOTH dark humor AND personally distasteful, your rant about spelling and grammar is completely, totally, 100% uncalled for.
Comic artists within the professional, syndicated world have editors that bring up misspelling, context, punctuation, etc. I'd predict that about 90% - 95% of those within the FREE medium do not (and that's a conservative estimate).
1) some comic artists out there have learning disabilities. Jennie Breeden of "Devil's Panties" is one such person.
2) some comic artists speak and write English but it is not their mother tongue, so are prone to common mistakes.
3) the English language has some strange words, confusing words, words that have the same meaning yet are spelled differently because of context, words that have different meanings yet are spelled the same depending on context, words that are borrowed from other languages and then have their spelling changed...
tl;dr - unless you are a grammar Nazi by trade, an English professor, or are offering your services as a proofreader for this FREE market medium, stfu and gtfo.
Super Marxio Jun 13th 2011 2:09PM
So defensive! I realize that it's a free market medium. And I'm letting the proprietor know what I find flawed. As for the rest of your comment: who cares? Lazy is lazy.
1. A learning disability is unfortunate, but learning to work with it and around it is an important life skill. It isn't an excuse.
2. This author apparently speaks English as a first language. I'm open to correction.
3. Your last argument is that English is hard?
And you need to learn what a rant is, because I'm not doing it.
Azari: I knew you couldn't stay away.
Agony Jun 14th 2011 8:19PM
1. Learning disabilities are wonderful for people who are able to work through them on their own. Most can't. That's life. Deal with it.
2. So...some ppl can't spell cuz of mdrn lang abbrevs lik txtng, u no? How do you think this affects people on an everyday basis? Yep...over-reliance on spell checking software. Guess what? Drawing doesn't have a spell checker. That's life. Deal with it.
3. Yes, the English language is difficult for many people. Though I am not one of these people, I have relatives and friends who have a hard time choosing the correct words, correct spelling of words, correct context, but they are still able to get their points across wonderfully.
And I never once stated you were ranting.
And Az hasn't been back to this conversation. What...you think I'm Azarizotza? Hahaha! That's funny. I'm old enough to be his father, first off. Second, I've been posting on WoW Insider longer (back when it was still WoW Insider...the first time...and had its URL as www.wowinsider.com). A simple click on my name will show I've been a member since Mar 30th, 2009. Az has been a member since Dec 31st, 2009.
But your comments have degraded to semantic trolling and offer nothing further than picking nits, so I'm done with this conversation. As Gene Wilder said so eloquently in the YouTube video that Az posted the link to, "Good day, sir. I said GOOD DAY!"

Wow some people get annoyed easily, seriously if people freak out over a single image of a seriously evil guy killing a few cats I'd hate for those people to watch South Park. (Which is sometimes -alot- worse than that)
