World of Warcraft Classic and
The Burning Crusade are currently on sale at the Blizzard Europe store for 4.99€ (£4.99) each. This sale will last until June 20, 2011. Now is a great time to buy the game as a gift or start up that second account for some sweet
recruit-a-friend rocket mount action.
We do not have any information yet if the sale will be extended to the US store, but in the past these sales have been paralleled in both regions. For now, check these links for the EU store downloads and retail version links:
REMINDER -- These copies of WoW are for the European realms ONLY. If you are a US realm customer, wait until we have confirmation about a US-specific sale on these games.

"4.99€ (£4.99)"
I don't know what any of these symbols mean! Does this have something to do with Celsius metres?
Nadia Jun 14th 2011 1:14PM
Euros.
Telwar Jun 14th 2011 1:13PM
They mean euros and pounds, respectively.
Fragments Jun 14th 2011 1:15PM
The latter one is pounds, and I -think- the former is euros. I could be talking out of my ass, though, since I'm an Aussie and the denominations I have to deal with on a daily basis include AUD, AUD, AUD, AUD, AUD, and USD.
Unless you're trolling. In which case, you are obviously correct - the first one looks like a C so it must be Celsius. The latter is OBVIOUSLY an F so it must be Fahrenheit.
Noyou Jun 14th 2011 1:19PM
I believe that is the Euro symbol.
Noyou Jun 14th 2011 1:21PM
Naw. It's Cutaia he wouldn't- dawww! He did!
Vítor Oliveira Jun 14th 2011 1:24PM
*facepalm*

It's an ancient measurement of courage. Basically you get:
1 € for every animal strangled with your bare hands.
1£ for every animal strangled with your bearhands.
0.1 £/€ for winning arguments on websites (also known as "1 internet").
10 € for escaping alive from the annual european firestarter festival (held each year in their respective capitols and major cities).
Etc. So 4.99 would indicate at least one major victory in a chainsaw-nunchuck cage fight, but don't quote me on that cause my last one was a while ago and they may have changes the rules on stylish finishing moves.

... It's the Swedish graduation day today and I'm a bit fuzzy now. What where we talking about again?
alzeer Jun 14th 2011 1:47PM
its obvious joke people

Added because it appears everyone's sarcasm meters were off.
I thought it was funny, at least.

"1£ for every animal strangled with your bearhands"
So you get money for having your bear strangle stuff? Cool.
Hal Jun 14th 2011 2:17PM
You people and your bizarre measurements. My car gets 40 rods to the hogshead, and that's the way I likes it.
loop_not_defined Jun 14th 2011 3:31PM
The first number is written in €yrrilic and the second number is written in £atin, duh. Someone wasn't paying attention during their historic language courses in elementary school.
lolikitty Jun 14th 2011 6:40PM
Ok now let's talk about the metric system.
mem0ryburn Jun 14th 2011 1:15PM
you been trolled
Vítor Oliveira Jun 14th 2011 1:25PM
he's obviusly trolling everyone.
"€" this is the symbol for the Euro and "£" is for the pound
Knob Jun 14th 2011 1:28PM
It's surprising that WotLK isn't in this bundle considering that's old content as well.
Nagheen Jun 14th 2011 1:33PM
I don't know what's funnier, that everyone gets trolled by Cutaia. Or that people actually (have to) explain it.
Either way, I'm pretty happy that I can get the rocket mount for cheap now.
Noyou Jun 14th 2011 5:38PM
Cheap(er) you mean. You still have to sub for 2 mo. do you not?
