Probably. At least it has in the past. It's often referred to as "Mardi Gras". Perhaps you've heard of it?
One thing I see from sensitive little heterosexuals like yourself is this constant whining about wanting "attention".
Once someone tells you you can't marry whom you love or it's legal to discriminate against you and you are treated institutionally as a second and third class person, then maybe your little parade will get the attention you want.
PS: I love statements like this, too:
