Phat Loot Phriday: Hood of Disgrace

"I will give this much to your Warchief," the druid said, flipping a piece of cloth in his hands. "The Hood of Disgrace will be an elegant message."
"It's not going to go well," Throgg said. He stabbed the ground aimlessly with his knife. "The Grimtotem will see this message and make a new message out of me. Magatha will not let this stand. They will wish to punish me."
"Us," the druid said.
"Me," Throgg said with an unmistakable tone of finality.
"And Garrosh gave you no indication about why? What could have happened to bring orc and tauren relationships this far?"
"I can't be sure," Throgg responded. "But I do not think that this is all tauren. I think this is just Grimtotem. Well. If this is how it is it to be, I will kill many Grimtotem before I die."

YAY! The next installment of Days of Our PWNING Lives!
Are we ever going to hear the story of how Throgg tamed our druid-friend? ;-p
Rho Jun 17th 2011 7:24PM
It was in the Phat Lewt Friday on May 20.

Well that's the episode where we were introduced to the druid-friend but it didn't tell us HOW it happened, at all. :) That's a story I'd love to hear. XD

I think Not-Spot got introduced much earlier. Here's that Phat Loot Friday's link: http://wow.joystiq.com/2011/05/06/phat-loot-phriday-collar-of-bones/
Throgg and Not-Spot are together now because of two things, both in the May 20 article I linked: firstly, Throgg got a summons from Hellscream (paragraphs 4 & 6, if you could every linebreak as a paragraph) and secondly, a technicality in the summons - "... I must go alone, though I may bring mounts and pets." - let Not-Spot accompany Throgg as a pet.

After Lolegolas's brush with death in BWD, he promised Throgg a puppy to make him feel better. Throgg settled on Not-Spot as his puppy. Of course, it's a mystery why Not-Spot went along with it, but I just overlook that because *I'd* happily follow these two around all the time.

Aahhh... interesting I didn't think about the BWD moment...
I still ask for a story about "Not-Spot". :D So are we saying that Lolegolas started it? I quote Spock: "Fascinating."
Again to several of the cites above - they hint at the taming in question without covering it!

Heehee, a quest green. I love it.
I want to do the quests in Thousand Needles. I've been having a blast leveling a lowbie in the EK.
MusedMoose Jun 17th 2011 7:52PM
The Thousand Needles quests are really, really nifty. You get a boat to ride around on at some point, the storyline is really interesting, and you can end up helping to make - I am not making this up - silithid ice cream.
Dreyja Jun 18th 2011 1:08AM
I... freaking LIVED in Silithis for a long time and I missed the icecream?!
Again Moosie, I bow to you. :)

Between the riveting adventures of Throgg in Phat Loot Phriday and the astonishingly well written and entertaining WoW Archivist, the level of writing on WoW Insider has never been better. Keep up the good work guys; I'll keep giving you page views!

I was skeptical at first with the whole Throgg and the huntard story, but now I enjoy it.
Keep up the good work!

Anyone ever seen the third season of Slayers, and the Filia could just out of nowhere produce a cup of tea to sip daintily? That's how I'm picturing Not-Spot.
MusedMoose Jun 17th 2011 9:38PM
Oh, man.... I think I watched that back in 2001. Thanks for both the flashback and the awesome mental image; tea-drinking worgen are hilarious. ^_^
Lorne Jun 20th 2011 5:45AM
Not just a cup of tea, a whole table and tea service as well.
Of course, she IS a dragon so...
Branden Jun 17th 2011 10:31PM
What? Noooo! Throgg cant die Lolegolas wont let it happen.
BrentJackson Jun 18th 2011 2:15AM
You know what's crazy? This is the one year anniversary (June 18th) of The Adventures of Throgg and Lolegolas taking over the Phat Loot Phriday column. So.. hooray for that!
