Ha! I've been planning to submit my own UI soon, but Vardelm has beaten me to the punch with a lot of the concepts.

Modern peripherals allow you to easily bind 30+ abilities in easily accessed and logically laid-out patterns. That will cover every ability you could conceivably use in combat. Out of combat abilities are what Opie is for.

Anyone ditching visible action bars should seriously consider using bindpad, which is extremely convenient for quickly writing/modifying macros and creating keybindings.
