The Daily Quest: Getting ideas, thinking
WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative, and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.
You tell him, Belle. You tell him, and then you go save your crazy father before he blows himself up doing whatever it is he's doing. Today we've got a few posts from around the blogosphere with all kinds of thinking, ideas, and other smart subjects that Gaston doubtless wouldn't approve of at all.
Is there a story out there we ought to link or a blog we should be following? Just leave us a comment, and you may see it here tomorrow! Be sure to check out our WoW Resources Guide for more WoW-related sites.

- WTS Heals thinks that perhaps you might want to consider using "lifegrip" in raids.
- Tank Out of Water thinks it would be nice if the 4.2 trailer weren't chock full of Thrall. (Warning, contains some 4.2 spoilers.)
- The Violet Scribe has some interesting ideas regarding weather and World of Warcraft.

I love Lifegrip. I heal that fight on my Shaman (full mastery set, only time it's useful) and the two priests and I have it worked out where I use Rockbiter on my weapon at 21% and taunt the boss, kite as long as I can in wolf form, and the two of them yank me around. I die, but that's more time that DPS can be doing DPS.

And by "that fight" I mean Chimaeron. That's what I get for trying to comment before coffee.

I'm hard core Alliance, and I like Thrall. Of course, I still think the druid community doesn't look at horde/alliance the same way the rest of the classes do....

Heh. I wonder if part of my opinion comes from getting sick of realising it's just Metzen yelling at himself--like hearing Jennifer Hale/Bastila and Cam Clarke/He-Man everywhere.

"Tales from the Void", after some shopping around in the MMO market, is back with an ongoing series detailing a list of "demands" for Blizzcon's likely expansion announcement:

AddictCraft Plug again. I mis-commented and put the first plug in Around Azeroth.
Anyways, plugging again: http://addictcraft.blogspot.com/

I agree that Thrall is getting a lot of screen time, lately. However... Blayze's revamp of the cinematic focuses greatly on Fandral, and the patch simply isn't about him. His complicated, and tragic, history has no bearing on anything other than his own madness. Fandral is basically being slotted in as "Rag's new majorlolmo" and that's it. None of the Cataclysm's key events involve Staghelm (he actually had more involvement in The War of the Sands and Ahn'Qiraj!), but the patch happenings -do- involve Ragnaros and his fiery legions. And yes, Thrall -is- trying to mend the world before it breaks entirely.
And I know Fandral sabotages Thrall's visit to the World Tree, however his involvement there could be interchangeable with any Twilight Badguy/Druid of the Flame. He reveals himself, muahahah's, then leaves.
Also, the matter of the legendary staff and the blue dragonflight... very few players are actually going to see those events. It would be like having the Icecrown Citadel trailer focus on Shadowmourne and the events surrounding its crafting. Why? If you put these events in the trailer, players are going to complain they can't get the item, do the quests, etc, where they stand a much greater chance of at least seeing a few Firelands bosses and the Molten Front.

I just feel that with the trailer as it is now, it's all about Thrall as opposed to the druids who are fighting against Ragnaros--and while Fandral might just be slotted in as a replacement for Executus, he could serve the trailer better as a central thread to link directly to everything else.

I used Lifegrip on Al'Akir this week when our Tank was having issues with getting booted off the platform. You shall not die! Sweetness.

In all the times my priest has been in an instance, I have yet to find the right time to use life grip. I REALLY want to do it... and I like Fyreuni's ideas at the Daily Quests webcomic.
New post up at Corath's Blog (http://corath.wordpress.com), all about raiding and who to include. All starting from me being mad, to me understanding what is best for the guild and raid composition.

Enjoy!
