The Queue: The weather outside

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mathew McCurley will be your host today.
Everyone seems to be knocked out by summer storms. Alex is stormed in, raiders were afk'ing because of tornados, and people across the land are screaming about lost internet connections. You know what this means, right? We need to demand that the government create better weather-controlling devices. I mean, really, it's the year 2011...
Aftermathmatical asked:
My Q, is that with the new PvP mount for RBGs, will we be able to send those to the opposite faction? I understand that we won't get a horde mount on my alliance character and vice versa, that they would change to the right faction. Will they allow this though, or will we have to earn them within our faction? (I know I know killing tons of alliance on my horde mage so I can earn and alliance mount on my Ally druid lol)
Most likely yes. When you purchase the level 25 guild mount reward (which is Bind on Account) you can send it to opposite faction members and it magically turns into that faction's version of the mount (either the lion or the scorpion.) I am assuming that the PVP mounts work exactly the same way. There's no reason to believe it would be anything different.

Question for the Queue:
Will we be able to purchase the T11 head piece and shoulders with justice points?
No. Blizzard has already said that anything that required tokens in patch 4.1 will continue to require tokens in 4.2. You will still need to kill Nefarian for your T11 head slot tokens and Cho'gall for the T11 shoulder slot tokens. Now that the normal modes of these encounters are nerfed about 20%, that shouldn't be too challenging of a feat to accomplish.
Now it's time for an Orkchop-athon of questions from Twitter.
Orkchop asked on Twitter:
For The Queue: Any recommendations on mics or headsets? Maybe something not too expensive?
I know that Sacco loves his Turtle Beach headset, and they are pretty cheap, all things considered. If you're looking to go Razer, the Piranha headset is pretty good for the price. Plantronics also makes some awesome headsets, and my brother used his Plantronics for a long, long time. Finally, Sennheiser has the PC 151 (my personal favorite brand for headsets) at just under $50 on Amazon right now, which is an awesome headset.
For gaming, I would almost always go with a headset mic. Why not? Both pieces of equipment you need in one. What's not to love?
Orkchop also asked on Twitter:
Are there any new lore moments in the new Midsummer Fire Festival holiday?
The Midsummer Fire Festival this year was light on changes since the holiday already had it's "collect holiday tokens, buy cool stuff" change-around. Not much has changed, other than the locations of some of the fires, since the world changed so drastically in Cataclysm. It is interesting to note, however, that this is Ragnaros' last Midsummer Fire Festival, and his new raid is coming out during "his" holiday. Isn't that kind of like busting into Santa's workshop in order to kill him and take his stuff during Christmas?
You know, if Santa wanted to ignite the world ...
green_jerm asked:
Question! Do you think blizzard will release some sort of instant messenger with battle.net where you wouldn't have to be logged into a game to talk to people online? I know they already have mobile guild chat, but I would love an IM on my computer desktop!
I really hope so! I believe that Battle.net is moving towards a social future, where the service will be much more like Steam currently is and less about the background to the games you log in to play. I would love to see Battle.net get its own social layer that sits on top of all of you games, and maybe even have an included clan/guild system as well. Frankly, I think Battle.net can go much further than it is. Maybe we'll even see some Battle.net announcements at BlizzCon this year.

Whose poop is it in the World of Warcraft? We have so many poop quests but even if you wait for eternity in any location, you never see any animal or NPC or player take care of business....so whose is it? Is it something the Titans left behind? Is it another cog in the Old God menace? Does poop hold the key to defeating them forever?
Ryan Jun 22nd 2011 11:30AM
in the Borean Tundra you feed the oily wolves and they drop a gift, right then and there. Unfortunately it's our job to unwrap it for Tailspin in "Lupus Pupus".

The poop is only left when you are not actually observing the animals. They're all very shy and decide not to poop when someone is looking at them.
loop_not_defined Jun 22nd 2011 11:53AM
I don't think Azeroth's animals like strangers watching them when they poop.

Question for the Q:
Who would win in a fight, Deathwing or Jack of Blades dragon form from Fable the lost chapters?
MattKrotzer Jun 22nd 2011 11:28AM
Cardboard Assassin, if I had to guess. That's just how it goes.
llcjay2003 Jun 22nd 2011 12:52PM
Basic Campfire, of course.

Why can't we deposit/ withdraw money from our character's bank like we can from the guild bank? out of sight, out of mind kind of helps the cash reserve. I realize that it's easy to make a bank alt, but this still bugs me.
Luci Jun 22nd 2011 11:40AM
I wish that we had a connected inventory between characters.
Sinfulle Jun 22nd 2011 3:06PM
@Luci
Shared bank slots like I enjoyed in EQ2 are what I have been wishing WoW would add for the longest time. LOTRO added shared inventory spaces. It saves so much money when you don't have to constantly mail items between characters, and hope to God you didn't mistype a name.
loop_not_defined Jun 22nd 2011 3:25PM
I believe there's addons that simulate "bank money", although I don't think they can prevent you from overspending. You aren't charged transfer fees, though. ;)

This has probably already been asked and I'm not searching for the right terms but can someone tell me how long it is supposed to take to complete the whole regrowth area?
Like is there a limit on the amount of tokens you can get a day?
Sorry if this has been asked a million times.
Fel Jun 22nd 2011 12:11PM
You are limited by the number of dailies you can do. In the initial Hyjal area, after the first day i believe you get 12 tokens, and you need 20 to complete the quest that advances the plot. After that there are a couple dailies per day you can complete, so it takes 3 days to get 20 (i think, only logged into the PTR once to check).

Q for the Q:
Is there a suggested iLvl for Firelands? Do I need 372 heroics? 359's good enough? Troll 353's passable?
With the 359 nerf I presuming Blizz is trying to tell us to at least get those before attempting Firelands. Thoughts? Thanks.
Knob Jun 22nd 2011 11:39AM
I'd guess at least 359 average. I base this simply due to the fact that they pushed Firelands back to 4.2 because not many people had cleared T11 by 4.1, which means they'd have gotten destroyed in the Firelands.
Chmmr Jun 22nd 2011 11:45AM
With BWD/BOT, I would be fine bringing in a 346-ish that I knew was a good player ahead of time. With FL I'd be very skeptical bringing anyone that was under 353 iLvl, especially if you didn't know their overall raiding competancy (i.e. pug). When I still see single target boss DPS under 12k in a 10-man, I consider it weak. You'll want DPS to be at least at 14k to avoid banging your heads against a wall in FL and plenty of people are able to sustain 18-20k without heroic gear these days.
It has never been Blizzard's strategy to require heroic gear to start the next tier.
MattKrotzer Jun 22nd 2011 12:16PM
The previous raid tier is usually a good place to look for gear before attempting the next raid tier. They call it "progression" for a reason. ;)
(cutaia) Jun 22nd 2011 12:45PM
"359's good enough? Troll 353's passable?"
359 average iLevel should be a good starting point. People will be able to grab all the 359 epic gear that will be available for Justice Points, then fill in holes with Zul'Heroic gear.
Pretty much everyone will have a 365 cloak from the Thrall questline. Craftable 365 weapons will also be available for relatively easy-to-aquire mats. There will also be a few 365 pieces available from the unlockable vendors in the Molten Front. All of these 356s will be excellent for increasing your overall gear level to make up for any remaining 353s you're still hanging on to.

...in a few weeks when the recipe vendors are unlocked

I've got a Q for the Q. Does WoW Insider have any plans on updating their search function? Whenever I try to search for a specific post, the results come back in all sorts of random orders. I was wondering if we could at least get returned results in chronological order.
--Bigface
P.S. - I would search for this question in case it was asked before, but I don't get any useful results :P
