I agree with many above. I think this is a good thing. How many people complaining about this catering to the casuals are running Atlas or Atlasloot and read Elitist Jerks, Wowhead or WoWwiki?
Blizzard is making it so everyone can have access to this information without having to minimize the game to visit other sites to read information. Also, when it comes to raiding, how many times have you heard someone going off on another player for not reading up on a fight strategy?
I think this is a welcome change. And if you want to be all hardcore, no one says you are forced to view the information.

Well stated. Especially the point of not having to reference content out-of-game. If you are not geared for dual monitors, that can be a tedious exercise.
I think everyone who pugs should try to avoid the "Uhh, what ...?" moment when raiding. I've been that guy - to my great regret. Again, I think (when I'm geared and leveled to 85) this new resource will be a favorite of mine.
