The competition for the retribution paladin columnist was fierce. But when the dust cleared, one stood out among the rest. Durin Mundahl has been playing a ret pally for years and at one point was ranked #10 in the world for DPS for his class on Chimaeron 10-man. Not only does he bring experience and knowledge to the column, but a clear and easy-to-understand writing style. You'll be seeing him start up quite soon to delve into patch 4.2 on the retribution edition of The Light And How To Swing It column.

lol... prior to Cata, you could pretty much faceroll, but you'd mostly get a screenful of "Not ready yet" as all your abilities were on cooldown and you spent most of your time watching your character swing autoattack. Especially at lower levels when you had no Crusader's Strike. It was "Judgement!"... then, "okay, now I've got eight seconds to kill before I can do anything again..."
Of course, nowadays, you spend your time building up combo points... err, I mean holy power, until you have enough to make one of your finishing moves worth using... err, I mean holy power consuming abilities, of course. ;)

Looking forward to the ret paladin column, definitely. Paladin is the only class I've never really gotten into, and I hope a new view will give me more impetus to try it out. ^_^

Excellent! As good as Alex's occasional Ret pieces were, they were (understandably) few and far between. Looking forward to seeing what Durin has to offer!

Durin Mundahl even sounds like a paladin. I imagine he hails from Arathi and swears Holy Vengeance upon those who have maligned his beloved House of Arathor.
