Well, if they were a complete sociopath, they'd probably leave some kind of calling card to tip people off...you know, like a serial killer. Or, they'd do something super strange and make a third account -- after the second account's posts were deleted, of course -- to discuss the second account in reply to comments that are now unconnected and spread out throughout the thread. Then, if they really thought they were clever, they'd use that third account to throw their calling card out there again, and think it wasn't completely transparent and obvious.
But that would just be crazy, so you're right...I must be mistaken.
