It seems like a video of the guild Bless the Martyr tackling heroic bosses in Blackwing Descent might be a good send-off for patch 4.1. Now that we're storming the Firelands with all the zeal and energy of content-hungry raiders hunting new loot, let's take a quick look back to the T11 bosses that kept us busy for half a year.
The video is a fairly straightforward raid video, showing off a guild's coordination and work in downing the toughest raid fights. The opening bit featuring Lonely Island's Jack Sparrow won me over, though I thought the whole thing could use a faster pace. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at moviewatch@wowinsider.com.
Thanks for the feature! The whole guild has really been excited today with the feature, after having finished the entire video I agree it did feel a little too slow and for firelands we are going to speed things up a bit. The Jack Sparrow song was an inside joke with the guild, as I had it stuck in my head for a good week or two and made a lot of reference's to it. Thank you again!
Um...Mr. Gray? Michael? Mike...I can call you Mike, can't I?
Mike, we need to have a talk.
I'm concerned about you, Mike. Specifically, I'm concerned about the state of your mental well-being. You see, white rap with Michael Bolton should never, ever, ever cross paths, let alone be classified as "good" music in any way.
Please, put down the YouTube and pick up the Google, then search for affordable mental therapy in your area. Yes, I'm afraid it is that serious.
Thank you.

The song starts off with a rap in a club then the chorus goes into "This is the tale of Captain Jack Sparrow" and ends with Michael Bolton singing about Scarface. How much clearer does it need to be that the song is a parody?
I really have no idea what you are referring too, the Ui is very compact and clean while providing all the information that I need as a tank and raid leader.
Anyone else remember that one guild that did videos like this back in Vanilla and BC? This reminds me of those but they were much better quality and camera work. It was done by someone named Jack
?? His UI is a cluttered mess u silly goose... And u dont need all that to tank..I am going to go out on a limb and say u dont need any addons to get the job done....
If you are saying you can get the job done with no addons....well you must never have raided hard modes. It is actually my UI and it was pretty popular as a package on wow interface until I stopped updating it. Again please be more clear on your opinion, what addons are not needed? Maybe if you play on a 15" monitor but that UI happens to be made for a 27"
Thank you for the kind words, I worked the tail end of the music around Requim because in my opinion it really is the most epic feeling song especially in that incarnation of it. The ui is built around LuI so if you really like it that is a great place to start, I have some custom things, but the UI package of mine is still on wowinterface.com under tanking compilations.
I liked the way the video turned out overall, although I agree with Mr. Gray that it felt a little too slow at times. Hopefully for the Firelands video I can remedy that and get much better camera work for some flythrough and trash portions, although I do plan on keep the actual heroic encounters of normal footage. Although on some of the easier one's I may hide my UI for portions of the fight to give it a bit more cinematic feel. Hopfully you subscribe and will be there to see when it is uploaded, and hopefully it will be enough of an improvement over the BWD movie to be worthy of being on moviewatch!

So, I crack a joke about a parody song and I get down-voted into oblivion.
(taps foot and waits for people to grasp the irony...glances at watch...I may be here awhile)

I got the joke but it wasn;'t very funny at all.

Lesson learned - never insult Michael Bolton on WoW Insider.

Jack did one good video, the original Naxxramas-40 video from 2005. Every other video of his has been shit.

Awesome movie!
Extra credits for using the theme song from Requiem for a Dream on the Nef fight.
p.s.: i do like that UI. I guess it should look really awesome on a 27" :P
