Breakfast Topic: How would you spend one day as your character?

What if you could trade skill sets with your favorite toon for a day? I would port myself to my job, instead of sitting in mind-numbing traffic for 40 minutes. When I got to work, I would pop Mirror Image so I could have four people doing my work for me (because, you know, I'm glyphed for it!) while my water elemental and I sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. If anyone came looking for me, I'd go Invisible and Blink myself the heck out of Dodge.
Lunch would be no sweat -- I'd just whip up some cakes and be good to go. I'd take advantage of the moment and turn my boss into a sheep (or a penguin). And when the two o'clock doldrums hit, I'd do the Time Warp and make the rest of the day go by until the time came to port myself back home again. Once home, I'd set the water elemental to watch the children (making sure that it's set to passive, of course) and conjure up some more cakes for dinner. I have to confess though, I would be getting the better end of the deal, as I think my poor little mage would be less than thrilled to be dropped into Twilight Highlands with nothing more than a quirky sense of humor and a penchant for the written word.
If you could trade places with your character for a day, what would you do?

I would go kill every single boss imaginable............then go fly around in Swift Flight Form.

Sandwich? I wouldn't ask for a sandwich. Now "sammich" on the other hand....

Have you seen the kinds of recovery a healer can do? Hospital visits galore! Just one day is tight, but starting out with kids' hospitals could do a lot for world acceptance of the undead.

Hear hear.
Parknet Jul 3rd 2011 9:51AM
Darn you. As I look down at my night elf female's body for the 1st time, then look over at the inn in Stormwind.. I shrug and start heading to the hospitals. Darn you!

Pop into cat form and go sleep in the sun - as only cats can.

As my Feral Druid? Shifting through different forms, exploring as I went.
As my Death Knight? Hmm.... not a whole lot. Death Knights really get the short end of the stick when it comes to socially acceptable skills. Probably just fly around as a Sandstone Drake all day, terrorizing people for fun. Or freezing over the surface of a lake, in Florida, and riding a skeletal flying horse on it.
As my Resto Druid? Hospital, doing the doctor's jobs for them.
As my Priest? Group skydiving, no parachute. Levitate FTW!
As my Mage? Blinking around. And Teleporting. And creating portals for people to go on free vacations around the US. And putting the portals on top of each other so people didn't know which location they were going to until they went through.

I would just Heroic Leap around all day.
Because, you know, I can't usually jump 36.5 meters.

On a similar note, Life Gripping people until I got my thumbs broken.

Being afraid of heights normally, I would use one of my cool flying mounts to go as high as possible then heroic leap to safety before going splat. I would record it of course and have the most watched viral video of all time!

So if I were a mage? Well I think I'd do a few of the things mentioned in the topic, except I'd stay in and work along with my 3 mirror images. I wouldn't really dare use any of my fire spells where I work... unless I planned to use Ice Block and let everyone in the building.... ANYWAY!
Appart from easing my commuting and maybe the odd portal to holiday destinations, I wouldn't do much... although would be cool to re-enact the last fights of Portal 2!

I would use flight form and do sightseeing from above, or just having fun flying, feeling the wind under wing...
I could wreak havoc in feral mode in the lecture hall (maybe I could nibble some teachers...)
Using tranquility quite discretely in an hospital would be cool, people would heal amazingly quick
I could prowl in a library and stay overnight reading books, or go to the cinema for free
Maybe using faerie fire on my brother will make him less stealthy... anyway, the little lights would annoy him
And last, I would teleport in moonglade and learn to be a full-time druid :)

Mmmm... misdirecting the baby aggro to my husband so I can actually take a moment to breathe, remember that I'm actually my own human being and, perhaps, write. A girl can dream, can't she? I already make enough tranq shot/wyvern sting jokes when it comes to dealing with "baby enrage" on my blog, so I'll refrain. lol
I'd also have a group of insanely loyal pets (that I'm magically not allergic to!!) to help me out. I bet my bear would be great at babysitting... he'd maul any person who had malicious intentions toward the baby. And I'd finally have the dog I always wanted, plus I don't have to feed it or take it for walks!
My only problem would be keeping my itchy trigger finger from "accidentally" firing at anyone who's rude and pugnacious. Hmm...

Hell with teleporting to work, I'd teleport to the cities where friends I hardly ever get to see live, then portal us all to the beach or something like that. ^_^
Noyou Jul 3rd 2011 12:04PM
Oh if we are mixing our toons with RL I would totally pick the mage and Port around the world starting with- Hawaii. /dream.
razion Jul 3rd 2011 9:19AM
I'd go to the nearest training dummy and try to cast fireball, and then realize that I actually don't know how to do that...
djdazz Jul 3rd 2011 9:26AM
I would sit on the bench at Krasus' Landing in Dalaran and spend the day flirting with Hira.
Artificial Jul 3rd 2011 3:29PM
Drop by the Steam Pools and see how awesome Johnny really is... ;)
