Looking back at old loading screens, it seems like it's been ... half a decade or more since WoW started, you know?
d'Avitant asked:
I could have sworn that Blizzard was supposed to be making male and female models of the various demons available with this patch (4.2). Was I imagining this, or am I just failing at finding it? Thanks!
This is something Blizzard is working on but not something that was scheduled for 4.2. Personally, I'm of the opinion that the various genders of demons were going to be added to the upcoming Burning Crusade sequel expansion anyway, since we'll be visiting their home planets, and Blizzard took the opportunity to say, "Look how much we listen to you!" (Note: There may not be an upcoming Burning Crusade sequel expansion. I just hope there is.)
Exogenesis asked:
I was reading through my old game manual for classic WoW (the huge ones printed by an outside company), and was surprised to read that in times of heavy capacity, zeppelin passengers could sometimes find themselves dumped off it into the ocean.
I'm not sure why that would end up in the manual, but yes, that was a bug that happened from time to time. Players would find themselves unceremoniously dropped into the ocean.
Andresoaress_lima asked:
I would like to know if the WotLK heroics have a great rate of players doing them or not, because I don't plan to buy Cataclysm by now and want to do some heroic dungeons :)
The number of people running Wrath heroics is going to be very, very small nowadays. Normal Wrath dungeon queues would be a little better due to alts pushing their way through the content, but heroics are end-expansion content, and Wrath is over.
Luotian asked:
WHY does Blizzard keep on using vehicle quests? My sister loves them but I can't stand them and am terrible at them.
In small doses, they break up the tedium of kill this, collect that quests pretty well, and there aren't many in Cataclysm compared to Wrath.
Dennis asked:
What happened to the dwarves at Dun Garok? There's no sign of the forsakens green slime attack, just some angry spirits.
Ostensibly, five years of low-level Forsaken questing took its toll on the dwarves.

Burning Crusade sequel.....................? :O
What did i miss...?
DonNochay Jul 3rd 2011 12:13PM
You obviously missed the part where he said that it was his hope that it would be a real expansion. Seriously, some of you need to fully read what you're posting about.....
Knob Jul 3rd 2011 12:16PM
Nothing. It's just a general player consensus that there's going to be an Emerald Dream expansion, a South Seas expansion, and a Xoroth (Burning Crusade sequel) expansion.

Sarcasm is so lost on the interwebs...
Haden Jul 3rd 2011 12:25PM
Damn it tazklore don't you mess this up for me!! i have not been on a space monkey island mystery summer cruise vacation in years!!! The speculation and rumors of such a trip is the only thing that keeps me mining copper day and day out.

To be fair it's kind of a dick move to post something with the feel of a definitive answer, then only at the end add a little addendum "BTW, disregard everything I just posted for this non-answer."

The Emereald Dream expansion really feels right, cos they have been dropping lots of hints and released a novel on the topic, but I can't imagine, how are they going to release it without releasing all zones (which is impossible, cos it's the size of Azeroth), unless, somehow, most zones are raids and dungeons.

"Sarcasm is so lost on the interwebs..."
Your first post wasn't even close to being sarcasm...
DonNochay Jul 3rd 2011 1:24PM
This. ^
adamjgp Jul 3rd 2011 3:21PM
^^ So true. You can't hide idiocy behind sarcasm.

Poking fun at things is supposed to be fun. When it gets to name calling at complete strangers or calling someone stupid or idiot it just looks like you are trying to make up for your own inadequacies. The OP was joking and the first person replying to the OP was joking. Humor is largely up to the interpretation of the one reading it. Lighten up and enjoy the holidays. Be safe and kind to your fellow man. If you still need to be an internet douche check out the forums. Thank you.
p.s. If you are not in a country celebrating a holiday this weekend celebrate life :)

This is why we can't SAY nice things.
tazklore Jul 3rd 2011 11:28PM
So I guess what I should've said was...
"OMG A BC SEQUEL WOULD BE SO AWESOME!!!!11!! DISCUSS"
and
"Have I missed any new rumors floating around about the next expansion?"
First post ever on the internet. Sarcastic-half-thought-out-summarization FTL. My bad..
JattTheRogue Jul 4th 2011 6:09AM
"First post ever on the internet."
Well, whether you were joking in your first post or honestly mistaken or whatever, this entire comment thread is pretty much what you can expect from virtually every interaction you have with an anonymous group of people online, so in that case, it was a huge success! Welcome to teh interwebz!

Do you think we're ever going to see vehicle mechanics in raids again? During Wrath we used them fairly frequently, Flame Leviathan / Trash before Mimiron / Gunship / Eye of Eternity and Occulus, I know they got mixed reactions, but I haven't seen anything like it yet and I really enjoyed them.
Thiron Jul 3rd 2011 12:17PM
Please no...Personally, I'm quite fond of vehicle quests, but I absolutely hate vehicle raids. I want to play my class, not a vehicle with a couple of buttons...
Schadenfreude Jul 3rd 2011 1:12PM
I wouldn't mind another vehicle fight, but they have to keep players' buttons the same and have the class abilities just translate into various damage abilities coming from the vehicle. NOT AGAIN OCULUS, NOT AGAIN
Ninerva Jul 3rd 2011 5:29PM
The problem isn't vehicle abilities replacing yours, it's 3D movement. Oculus and EoE = bad, Flame Levi = good.
Revnah Jul 3rd 2011 6:28PM
Well, you can have 3-d motion without the vehicle, as in Al'Akir...
Jack Mynock Jul 4th 2011 12:24AM
I think the real problem with the Malygos encounter wasn't the 3D movement, but that you got dumped onto a vehicle in the middle of the fight. For me that was very disorienting, especially combined with the 3D aspect.
