While we're on the subject of dismissing fake leaks, anyone know for certain that the Hallow's End event description I've seen floating around is fake?

Nope. I'm talking about what reads like someone took that and combined it with the ask a cdev answers-POTENTIALLY SPOILERS, BUT MOST LIKELY NOT-Greymane is readying a full out assault on Undercity. Sylvanas reveals her secret weapon to defend herself - the shards of Frostmourne. However she falls into a trap, and the Burning Legion is able to use the shards to help them open portals across the North-East Eastern Kingdoms. Alliance and Horde put aside their differences momenterily to repel the invasion, then kill Sylvanas. Leadership of the Undead is transfered to a council which includes Nathanos and Calia Menethil. One of their first acts is to permit the Gilneans to return to their home and begin rebuilding.-END LIKELY HOUSE OF LIES-

Actually, I liked this story, even through it needs A LOT of working to become a valuable one. I would really like to see Calia Menethil play a role in game. But, like you said, this probably isn't even near the truth, as no great fansite said anything about it.

Um, yeah. That storyline sounds about as likely as Stormwind decides to make peace with the Horde by acknowledging Garrosh as the leader of Azeroth.I'll buy Calia Menethil as a future Forsaken leader if and only if it turns out she (like most of her subjects) is now undead herself. Then we can have some sort of power struggle within the Forsaken for leadership (given that many Forsaken still hold strong feelings for their old royal line, with the exception of Arthas the Betrayer). Making peace with the Gilneans is right out. Blizzard is going to have far too much fun with the "werewolves vs. undead" trope, there's no way in Hell they would ever do anything to ruin that by ending the conflict.

Except that Blizzard won't want to redo the holiday next year. Sylvanas would have to be dead after the holiday is over and you can't bring her back to do it again next year. Sounds good for a patch though.
