Tuesday Morning Post: The week after

Most of us are content with much more humble progression, though. My guild finished the week at 3/7, having taken our usual Monday evening raid night off to celebrate some wacky thing called "the 4th of July." I think it's a holiday commemorating Gilneas' shrugging off the hegemony of the Alliance of Lordaeron and striking out on their own? I'm not really sure, honestly.
Today's maintenance will be ongoing for a few hours more as of this posting, so if you're feeling particularly bored, don't worry! WoW Insider had some great content this past week that you can catch up on today.

I heard that the 4th of July has something to do with something that happened in the year 1776. Now I've looked through the WoW lore completely, and I find no reference to the year 1776. Needless to say, I'm stumped and hope that a Know Your Lore article comes out in the near future explaining this.

Okay, Blizzard is annoying me now. I tried to log on without reading that servers were down instead of just rolling restarts. Since I'm on vacation I thought I would get on and do a few dailies while I'm still at the hotel. Blizzard freaks out, freezes my account and requires a password change. Their site is also down so I CAN'T change my password. I thought that having an authenticator is supposed to stop them from making me change me password...

I'm in a casual/ social guild, didn't join it to raid, but a raid team of sorts has formed. Didn't do well in last tier, maybe downed 3 bosses and none of them were regular/ farm kills ever. It wasn't bad beating heads against the content since I knew it wasn't a "real" raid guild. The nerfs to the raids mean that, it could actually be possible for us to drop some bosses and learn as we gear up...
Instead the raid leader canceled the raids until next week, when he intends to start Firelands... "everyone run dungeons to gear up"...
So, I think I'll download now-f2p AoC and shop for a different guild...
