The Daily Quest: I want money
WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative, and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.
It's weird to think about the fact that The Flying Lizards were popular when I was just a baby. I always associated the song with the movie Empire Records -- which, by the way, if you haven't seen, you should go do so. Right now. It's okay, we'll wait. Anyway, this was easily the most popular song they ever did. But then, who doesn't like money?

My random story about that song:
When in high school, my friends and I were obsessed with Empire Records and spent far too much time quoting it. Incessantly. Anyway, my youth group at church got to do a youth service once a year where we just got to take over one Sunday morning. We were incredibly annoyed by the fact that we had to interrupt our awesome service with doing a collection, so we blasted that version of the song while dancing up and down the aisles with collection plates. Apparently, it was the most money ever collected on a non-holiday. ;)
Also, thank you for posting this video because at least now the Bubble Pop song is out of my head.

Damn the man, save the auction house? No, that's not right.
Just don't let Lucas look over your WoW finances...it might end up recirculating in...wait, what's the Azerothian equivalent to Atlantic City? I guess the closest is Booty Bay. They have a Boardwalk and all.

first thing I thought of when I saw the video was Empire Records. Favorite line in the movie, and one I would quote endlessly to my friends, most who had no idea what I was talking about is "I don't feel the need to explain my art to you Warren."
Such a quotable movie.
